I get that mayo is like ambrosia to Canadians, but dear God, those pictures.
yay - new page! Don’t have to see those pics any more. You’re all welcome.

While that picture does present much better than the last, it still does not look appetizing. I would never think to combine avocados with mayo. They both are creamy and fatty, so pairing them together is kind of redundant IMO.

You guys should try it first... at least if you like avocado, shrimps, mayo and ketchup separately
Also, on the same topic (albeit replacing ketchup by egg yolk) deviled eggs (oeufs mimosa) are one truly yummy thing too

I'm not even mad at mayo, and avocado and shrimp are best friends but I think it's oddly the ketchup that messes that combo up?

I think the ketchup is what's making it oddly bland - in a shrimp salad, it would be more likely to see something spicy added along with the mayo (chili sauce, lime juice, mustard, etc.)

I do like ketchup and mayo together, and I do think that would be good with shrimp, but seeing it in those pics makes me feel like something is off about it.
Also, anyone here ever have banana ketchup? It's amazing.

Ketchup and mayo with fries is second only to aioli in my book.
There used to be a Filipino restaurant by my house that made their own banana ketchup. It was pretty good.

Speaking of banana, banana jam is simply fabulous... pretty hard to find though (the one I've got come from a fancy department store in London)

Beware of spilling it on your clothes because the dye can be a bitch.

What's the board's take on Japanese kyupi mayo? I normally am a fan of mayo, and love aioli, but there is something about kyupi that I can't stand. But it's like impossible to get any meal in Japan without it.

Been making burgers in lettuce wraps all week. Grilled onions + white american + two slices of bacon + chipotle mayo. Very good, only issue is I can't use the air fryer for it. After work I'm going to swing by a grocery store to pick up what's below, never tried but it's supposed to be good and looks like right up my alley. Also, I love that this thread exists and can be active.

Haven't had the Special Sauce, but I've enjoyed the Sir Kensington's mustards I've tried.

I don't know if the SK special sauce really qualifies for this thread. I know that each of the condiments gets it's own thread but maybe there should be a special topic for remoulades and other mayonnaise adjacent toppings.
If someone wanted to talk about thousand island would that have to be discussed here? It seems limiting. I wouldn't want to stifle open dialogue and I think that if people are picking their air fryer toppings based on these binary choices we are doing them a disservice.

I mean, I'm about three posts in this thread away from nuking the entire forum, so go on, test your luck talking about Thousand Island.

Where were you during the great board outage of 2019? I was taking a workplace dump and had a hard time knowing what to do on my phone.
