Been a couple years since I listened to Turn On the Bright Lights. The first half of that record is in the fucking stratosphere.

Please update us with the exact month and year you made it to once the lists are due

If I really cram I might make it through 2004.

I think you might have the most interesting list out of anyone for sure

Honestly my initial aim was to get some lesser known acts some support, but I’ve realized that there’s so many prominent acts I haven’t listened to that I won’t even come close to getting there.
My plan for the 2010s list in 2019 is to take a different year for each month, should be a lot more workable since I was actually listening to music in those years.

Timbo said we're doing the 90s next?

2019 resolution: stop talking with coworkers and plug in headphones all day so I can get through 2 decades.

Is everyone still okay with the deadline being 11/23 or do we want more time? Or, is everyone done and I can start tabulating? Or do we wanna move it to January so that it doesn't conflict with our year end lists?

I'm still working on mine, this very second as it turns out. I've got artists R-Y to go through.

Still working - the list I have in the thread is no longer current, planning to update by deadline

I'm planning on doing mine Friday night/Saturday morning and being done with it. I'm not listening to anything I haven't already, though, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Just found out this thread existed because I wasn't even aware of the sub board. Don't think there's enough time for me to get a reasonable list together, but I'll at least enjoy listening to some albums I may have missed.
I'd have one of the more random number ones with an Elliott Smith album.

I am working on my list. Seems a bit slow going. Could actually use through the first weekend of December, because I will be on 2 transAtlantic flights that week and will be able to knock it out.

We've got 16 lists so far and the deadline is tonight. If people need more time I'm okay with extending another week.
How does Dec 3rd work?

It would definitely let me polish mine a bit more, if other folks don't mind.

Ending my listening quest at 2002, will be using the rest of the week to organize albums that I had already listened to from the remaining years.

Gonna have to update the list but I sorta half assed some albums in there and it's a very white list

I know 808s was a sleeper but surprised to see it as the number one kanye album for so many.

I've warmed back up to it recently. It's really just wall to wall hits and it's so good.

Still think bed news/see you in my nightmare are two of his worst songs which is my biggest complaint.
I also have graduation at 5 with barry bonds and drunk and hot girls tho.

On the TLOP tour there was this guy screaming “PLAY DRUNK AND HOT GIIIIIRLS” next to me and it was hilarious

My starter list is up. Waiting for my plane to be de-iced so I can get a drink, pop some Melatonin and get some sleep.
Fingers fucking crossed
