i just hope this means Janelle is playing either p4k or lolla cause her solo shows were too expensive.
gonna assume Aphex is only doing this and maybe an NYC show but at least ive seen him before

Well I got non-refundable airfare so I’m still in. I’d probably still go as I invariably have a far better time there than any other fest regardless of lineup.

But also Perfume's album this year was horrible even though they're the greatest pop group of all time, but even then, they deserved better.
(When I say a Perfume album was bad, you know it's bad. Level3 and GAME are two of the greatest pop albums ever made, though)

This is the best lineup they’ve had in years and I haaaaate Tame Impala. I would have so much dumb fun at this thing.
Agree that a lot of the billing is weird. Bassnectar jumped out as shockingly low.

It's kind of hilarious that Coachella booked so many GOOD Music affiliated acts, only to have Kanye leave them high and dry.
Line-up is the worst I've seen since I started going in 2012, and absolutely not worth the trip. LA area folks are probably in for some great stubhub deals though, because I don't think Ariana can save those resale values.

Given the top-line and number of recycled 2017 festival acts on this line-up, I could easily see several fall/summer fests topping them this year. Aphex Twin and a few other quirky bookings don't elevate it that much. |
