I'm really not convinced the Knicks weren't gonna offer KD the max as much as they knew they weren't going to get him and were trying to be like "We didn't want you anyway!" thinking that taking the full blame for striking out is somehow a better PR move than chalking it up to the players decision

They are a tire fire of an organization and James Dolan is getting rightfully shit on this morning and I am here for it

@sethcanpickanamefu, at least you're not the Knicks I thought this to myself earlier this morning and I'm not sure the Knicks are in a worse position. Pretty sure they're tied for league's dumbest team ownership.

Looks like the Mavs were involved in the Jimmy Butler trade and backed out, which means the deal is off for now

Also every Knicks signing has been for two years so they can try and fail at doing this again with Giannis in two years lol

The Rockets struck out on Jimmy and I'm pretty sure airing those trade hopes out publicly wasn't great for chemistry, but we resigned Austin Rivers on a 2 year vet minimum deal even though he definitely could have gotten more money elsewhere (locker room problems can't be that bad) and locked up Danuel House on a 3 year/11 million deal that I'm pretty certain will look like an absolute steal in a year or two, specially seeing the contracts other 3 and D wings are getting
Rivers played really really well with us, and House was looking great up until the playoffs, but I think a full off-season with us and no more g-league send downs due to dumb contract disputes will help a lot

Knicks have been smart to mostly go for two-year deals so they can make another attempt when the next big wave of free agents hit. Not that they'll sign any, but the Bulls seem to be going with the idea that they have no shot so why bother, which is frustrating.

been waiting every day for this Kawhi decision and apparently it's still not coming today
Things could get a bit messy if this doesn't happen before the end of the weekend because then the Lakers might try to delay that big AD trade from going through, which at this point had so many teams involved (either directly or indirectly) that it literally affects 1/3rd of the league

I stayed up late playing video games and was able to catch the craziest night I could imagine
PG out of nowhere to join Kawhi
I kind of love it. The NBA will be so competitive this year

So the Clips also went full Herschel Walker to finish, uh, 4th or 5th in the west each year of this contract

Thats the same team that took two games on the Warriors except replacing SGA and Gallinarri with Kawhi and Paul George. They gotta be the easy favorites in the west right now.
They have the perfect glue guys around them. Beverley, Harrell, Lou Williams...I also think Shamet and Zubac will get better this year.
