Happy Final Slayer Show in Chicago and Milwaukee Day (although someone on twitter just pointed out you can see them at the TAXSLAYER Arena in the Quad Citites on Nov 14)

Yesterday was nice, Lucero killed it, Descendents were sharper than last riot fest, flips dragged at points but the highs were high, blink was really fun especially when i moved back a bit. I also saw almost nobody but my shedzz today is The Hu (maybe a lil lando chill too)--Turnstile--Gwar--Avail--Testament-- -Wu-Tang-Slayer Dead Swords--Skating Polly--Nick Lowe--White Reaper--Village People--Ride--GBV--End of Against Me--B-52s--Patti Smith/Ergs/Ween i dono gotta figure it out-Bikini Kill

I hope they fix the sound issues Question do more drink vendors take cards this year ? There seems to be 1 or 2 at each bar stand. The rest were cash only, I think that's similar to what they had last year.

I really hope the crowd is better today, so many f'n talkers yesterday. I assume people who were just there for Blink - Riot Fest seems to have picked up some of the old Lolla demo.

That was honestly completely unsurprising.

Right, not surprising but I'm hoping that crowd was specifically there for Blink, which is why Friday sold the best. Hopefully today and tomorrow are better.

Anyone have any extra free Sundays left? I have an IRL friend wanting to go last minute so low priority but if there are any floating around that will go unused let me know.
See you guys in a few hours

I think so, but I won't know until tomorrow morning. Additionally, they did not let me pick up my single day Sundays yesterday, they need to be picked up on Sunday - so your friend would have to wait for me to arrive. I plan on starting my day on Sunday with Ride, so I'll target arriving a little before 3 or so.

Maybe to some extent, but I'm specifically referring to groups of people who were just hanging out, backs to the stage, engaging in long drawn out conversations that were not related to what was going on around them. There's always a smattering of that at any fest, but it was significantly more noticeable yesterday, especially for Riot Fest.
Like I said hopefully it was just the Blink crowd, and doesn't continue into today and tomorrow.

Right, not surprising but I'm hoping that crowd was specifically there for Blink, which is why Friday sold the best. Hopefully today and tomorrow are better. Not surprising at all, but it was at times comical in the execution. At one point I was standing near a group of four girls who were having a loud conversation, not even looking at the stage, but the second Screaming Infidelities happened, they got into like it was The Greatest Showman or something, and then they immediately went back to having their loud conversation. I moved after that. This was up close, so it was in no way a result of not being able to hear.

This explains a lot, I'm guessing every stage was employing this volume limit. Maybe Riot Fest had to make some sort of agreement with the hospital?

I'm sure the strong winds against the stages didn't help much.

Sound was MUCH better today and the park was a little less crowded. They turned up the speakers so much louder on the stages that I could clearly hear Rise Against in between Manchester Orchestra songs.
That Bloc Party set was way more fun than I was expecting. Very happy with today's festivities.
