Safe assumption. Live Nation appears to alternating years between Alpine and Wrigley. The investment pitch to expand northerly island was basically exlusively so it could host Dave/Buffett/Phish so its always a possibility.

Through a few listens: "Son of a Son of a Sailor" is real good and "Mañana" is pretty fun. Outside of that this ranges from ok to downright bad.
"Fool Button" through "Cheeseburger in Paradise" is the worst stretch of his thus far.

Son of a Son of a Sailor is an all time fave JB track for me, and I decided to ignore the urge to listen to it till this album came up, despite most of his songs making me want to listen to this one. The payoff was tremendous. Some of my earliest JB experiences were when I was in Boy Scouts. I went on a trip where we spent 5 days out on a boat on the ocean learning how to run a boat, tie the knots associated with sailing, snorkeling, and generally living on island time. The captain of the boat who taught us all of this was an old guy, a christian scientist who handled high school age religious kids asking him a million questions surprisingly well. He played a lot of JB on the boat, and it was a great time. Listening to that track really took me back to that summer, and it was a nice break in the midst of our moving chaos.
Anyways, this project rules still.

I thought this album was called Sin of a Son of a Sailor, which is a very bad title indeed.

My dads been in the hospital for weeks now and I’ve been playing him his fav Jimmy Buffet albums quite a bit while he’s been sedated in ICU. For me personally the track Son of a Son of a Sailor has always been a fav of mine, and it’s been super meaningful to me lately. I’m glad this album popped up this week on here. Hat tips to Jimmy rn
Let’s have Margs y’all

"Fool Button" through "Cheeseburger in Paradise" is the worst stretch of his thus far. Fool Button is the only song here that actually fits that qualification.

I'll admit, I'm reaching the point where I'm hearing more songs I heard growing up, and am rapidly losing objectivity.
