When Jimmy said “I gotta go where it’s warm”, I felt that.

Wait, is the chorus to “Volcano” not a traditional refrain? Is that actually a Jimmy Buffett original?

Today, in a random drawer in a rarely-visited closet, I found one (1) Jimmy Buffett tote bag from the 2015 Workin' & Playin' Tour. It is made of parachute-y material and is obviously a highly-sought-after collectible.
I am happy to offer it as a reward for some JB-related competition held within this thread.

Coconut Telegraph (1981) Dig "Coconut Telegraph" & Growing Older But Not Up", nothing too notable on the rest but not bad either.

Rumor is Korine is going to be doing a Q&A at the Music Box pre-screening of Beach Bum. We will be doing a group outing including pre-show tropical drinks at G-Man where we will brainstorm what our Buffet related question will be. Will update when tickets go on sale.

found out yesterday that my wife thought Jimmy Buffett and Warren Buffett were the same person. She wasn't confused about which was which, she thought the island escapist musician with a devoted following of middle aged alcoholics was also an insanely wealthy investor who advocates for progressive taxation

It might be because I’m an actual beach bum this week, but I really like this record. Title track + We Are the People.. are contenders for my top 10, Livin it Up is fun, & I Used to Have Money might be technically bad but I can’t get it out of my head.
Couple solid covers too.

Riddles in the Sand (1984) Don't like this as much as One Particular Harbour, but "When the Wild Life Betrays Me" & particularly "La Vie Dansante" are quite good.

“Beyond the End” feels very “We Are the World” but still probably the highlight of this record.
Also: probably going to start going to 2 records a week.
