this is for a street fest..? holy shit It's a very similar list to what Ravenswood on Tap had a few weeks ago. The proximity of the two fests to a bunch of those breweries doesn't hurt.

I'll be there on Friday for Cracker/CVB. My plan is to go for a few hours each day. Saturday will be the longest stretch from like 3:00 to 8:00.

I want to get to Burger Fest for at least a few hours on Saturday - and I may try to do TBS at HoV as well. Depending on how I feel Sunday, I may return for Beach Slang & Son Volt. This should probably be in the street festival thread.

Yeah it's pretty readily available. Various family members kept telling me it was impossible to find in the US which seemed like bullshit so thank you for validating my decision to not buy any at duty free I like to stop at the duty-free shop.

Soooooooooooo baby is 4-6 weeks away. My wife's uncle, the other beer fanatic in the family, is visiting once the little brat gets here. so I've been collecting beer for him (local stuff mostly) and as a little project I've been going through stuff in the ole beer fridge b/c he's bringing me more.
so for some reason I chose today to pop open some that I have had sitting there in the fridge for a few months that I never got around to. most of them have had a 7+ abv.
And one of them wasn't a sour! It was a Nitro by 4Hands out of STL. It claimed to be a sour, but it wasn't. but it was still tasty. THe rest were sours. B/c I like heartburn a lot.

I love it when you have a beer and it does nothing for you once, maybe bc it was paired with the wrong thing. but then having it again and it slaps.
10barrels Rasberry Sour Crush. Barrel aged. Had a few downtown over the weekend on draft and was floored by it. Just got it in cans and it holds up. Had it a few months ago and was iffy on it.

Picked up some beer tonight that the guy behind the counter couldn't scan so he gave it to me at the Blue Moon price.

Picked up a bunch of New Glarus on the way back from Milwaukee. Stopped at the Woodman's in Kenosha and everyone looked like Bret Michaels

A limited amount of VIP ticket packages are available for $125, including early access to the event, a private tour of the White Sox clubhouse, a special meet-and-greet with Frank Thomas and access to the warning track. The VIP ticket also offers exclusive access to a tasting of Goose Island’s exclusive Bourbon County Barrel Stout, 40 two-ounce beer samples, a commemorative tasting glass and poster.
Oh man I'd definitely go this route. Me jumping on the wall simulating the Dwayne Wise catch while drunk sounds incredible.

Baere in Denver made a tribute beer to David Berman called Monuments Can Be Monuments - I picked up a crowler, but I can't drink it because I've been sick. Hopefully tomorrow.

Spanish brewing giant Mahou (Warsteiner, 70% of Avery) is buying (at least a significant stake in) Founders.

Are there any other big hitters (midwest specifically) that aren't owned by big corporate at this point? Only one I can think of is Bells maybe?

Finally felt good enough to drink beer last night and this was very good. Glad it held up - I always worry about crowlers going flat too quickly. Not drinking beer for 5 days sure is the diet for me.

Shit it's pretty hard to find a place to fill a growler in Colorado these days, so that'd be nice.
