We were gonna pick up Lake Effect on our way to pick up sushi but one of the beers available was a tribute to cops and the cans had cops saluting on it so we decided against it lol

Not exactly a <3 cops beer. They also probably did it cuz the building they’re in used to be a fire station and they had to really fight Jeff Park to get the space. See other threads for the Jeff Park politics.

They’ve been doing some cool collaborations lately with other folks in the neighborhood. Got an awesome pie from Fannie’s with a six pack of their amber and this gose came with a record from Tone Deaf. They’ve also partnered with somebody who will give you a bundle of wood?

Brewery near me partnered with a CSA so you can get some cabbage and onions with your Tiki Sour.

Another thing I learned while research beer near sushi is the liquor store near me when I lived in ravenswood had the very ok twisted hippo beers at a significant discount to their price at the brewery itself

That’s cool. They probably do that so that they can keep up their distro contracts.

I'm not sure what to do with this information but I cant stop thinking of 3 Doors Down partnering with a Korean distillery to make a product called "Citizen Soju"

That’s cool. They probably do that so that they can keep up their distro contracts. yeah I have no idea how the like non-essential class of brewery survives bottling but I always assumed they were a brewery that made ok beers at a very low price and it turned out to just be a weird liquor store mislabeling thing like how the grocery store by me in NYC had saranac 24 bottle variety packs for $9.99

They asked for 3 artists you were interested in, and you picked your beer. Somebody from Tone Deaf was supposed to get in touch to make sure you didn’t already have what they picked out based on yr 3, but I never got a call. They sent the most recent Allah Lahs record plus my beer for like $35 or so? Can’t complain about that, even though I don’t think I’ve ever listened to them.

Oh! It was with the Chicago Wood Company. For $20 you got a bundle of firewood and a six pack.

I've been hitting Urban Renewal pretty often during quarantine for four packs. I am in love with their Hazy River IPA. Have been leaning more towards hard alcohol lately but these things hit different when it's nice out on the deck.

Just had a nice two hour walk to Old Irving Brewery and back. I always like their beer but forget it exists for 6 months

Old Irving are such good people. I need to buy some more of their beer soon. I have been throwing most of my beer money to Alarmist lately. Le Jus is so good now that it is getting warmer outside.
