I won a 1.5 liter bottle of a Russian Imperial Stout from Ratio in Denver the other night. Guess I'm saving that for a party.

High West means it's barrel aged, yes.

I've heard nothing but good things about it. Haven't been before, but planning on it this year.

I'd assume you'd go more for the setting than rare beer. Seems likes a pretty good list of breweries, though.

I remember hating Shiner Cheer when I first tried it a long time ago, but a friend brought a six pack over the other night and I kind of love it now. Yay evolving taste buds.

ugh i hated it at FFF back in the day. might've changed the recipe since then? it was just waaaaaay too much sugar and fruit taste back then.
speaking of, i dropped my gifts off at everyone's houses friday night and yesterday they came over and gave me a bunch of beer! the ommegang winter is coming, one of the new lips of faith series, this year's wootstout (havent had it yet,) and the iron maiden trooper lager.
i hated the maiden one back in the day but i popped open this one last night and it was wonderful. maybe the first one i had was just a shit batch or something?

I remember having a similar experience with The Trooper. I hated it when I bought one from Binny's (way back when I lived in Chicago), but now I get it at my local dive/metal bar quite often and love it.

yeah im not sure if it was all the early batches were gross, the particular one i had was skunked to hell and back, or i just had a different palette back then.
maybe all 3.

Trve just released a new hat and basically said the ideal person to buy it would be a guy who doesn't like to wear sleeves. If you ever get married @wretched, I've found a spot for your reception.

Picked up some bottles of Cinnamon Stout Crunch from 4 Noses earlier. Imperial Stout brewed with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and it's amazing.

My local specialty beer store overstocked on Maui Brewing's Double Overhead IPA, and for $1 per can, it is fantastic.

Iron Maiden have teamed up with Robinsons Brewery to create a new 4.1% ABV English ale dubbed ‘Light Brigade“. 6p of each pint and 5p of each bottle sold will be donated to Help For Heroes, who help out those who served in the Armed Forces that suffer from injury and mental illness.

The prices on the packaged goods are nuts. I'd be kinda interested to try some pours, but I also don't want to deal with a shitshow.
