fwiw, it looks like lcd's december brooklyn shows are during D4N. i think that speculation was maybe before the residency was announced, not really possible now.

Arcade Fire's South American tour ending in Buenos Aires the Friday before D4N is also a thing. They're skipping Houston on their tour for the first time since Neon Bible so it definitely seems within the realm of possibility.
There are way too many actual rock bands being discussed in here though. Not getting my hopes up for indie rock this year.

I'm really dying for any sort of legitimate rumors for this fest. Or really just some info like venue or if the 3 days thing is still just a pre-party or three full days or what. I'm worried we won't hear anything until September

I really feel like they would have said something at this point if they were making it three full days.
The no venue thing is extremely frustrating, I'll admit. I hope they just have it at the post office again somehow. They announced the venue on 7/25 last year so that should be coming soon.
As for legitimate rumors, you need only look three posts up from yours.

So part of the reason we thought it wasn't going to be at the post office again this year was that there was a plan for it to be developed for commercial use.
I haven't heard of any progress on that so it's very possible the fest is using it again.

Guh, my hotel (and Club Quarters) are dirt cheap that weekend again. I know it's most likely not anywhere near the same location again, but that would be wonderful.

They're having a beer festival with music there in September so I think we're looking good unless the fest found some other unique venue to have it at (seems doubtful).
Both locations have been pretty central to downtown. I don't see them moving out of the Inner Loop.

They also posted a couple of other videos featuring the post office over the last couple of days... I really hope that means they're keeping it there.
EDIT: Inforoo has a couple of other social media posts they brought up and seem convinced that it's definitely there again. Would be awesome.
