Man, the Astros are just an incompetent mess right now.
Then they claimed Sports Illustrated made that up.
Then more people verified the claim.
Then they gave a canned "I'm sorry if people were offended."
and then this comes out:

Man, the Astros are just an incompetent mess right now. Then they claimed Sports Illustrated made that up. Then more people verified the claim. Then they gave a canned "I'm sorry if people were offended." and then this comes out: Their whole organization is a toxic mess. Check out these quotes from a Forbes article about sexism and racism at their owner, Jim Crane’s, company back in the late 90s. “To discourage blacks and women from applying, Eagle managers refused to let female and minority applicants enter its secured facilities to fill out job applications. Eagle disagreed with that assessment. Crane also warned managers not to hire women of child-bearing age because their productivity would be low. And top company officers told employees that women aren’t suitable for management positions because male managers won’t work with a woman.“ Turns out this is what happens when you bring this organizational culture to sports! Go Nats!

Cubs are about to announce Ross as their manager. Not sure how I feel just yet. Espada seemed legit

ross seems like the fan favorite type who's going to be impossible to fire.
also, i thought there was an unwritten rule about not announcing big moves during the world series.

Also the MLB is finally hearing the grievance Kris Bryant filed all the way back in 2015 over service time manipulation. Should be interesting to see how this plays out - it's going to have pretty crazy implications should he win.

Really wish I could've been up late enough to watch more of the game last night. Reading up on the absolute atrocity of some of the umpiring, which naturally of course makes people ask questions about automating a strike zone. This is a pretty good article from WaPo

That might be the worst call I have seen since Denkinger.
Edit: and the baseball gods (and Rendon) agree.

Props to Dave for getting thrown out in an elimination game of the World Series
But yeah, the worst call in the replay era

Bobby Cox was the last manager tossed in the World Series. Let's remember a guy.

Just figured the board was over baseball. If you're not watching a game 7 in a championship of any sport what the hell.

I just got home from Dylan, otherwise I would have been watching the game. The ex-Expos might finally win one huh? I like them, sans Adam Eaton.
