Not sure what your plans are before the shows, but Lisa and I are going to try to stop by 4 Noses Brewing, which looks like it's pretty close to the venue.

Hell yeah 4 Noses was my favorite brewery I had out there. I gotta get to that brewery, I think I'm gonna go back out in February.

My dad's cousin is in town this week so we got dinner at Giordano's, but they messed up our order so they gave us an extra one to go and she didn't want to take it home so I am now in possession of a giant sausage and mushroom pizza, does anyone want it? I don't love deep dish and don't have room in my freezer.

bae surprised me last with dinner at The Gage (michigan and madison i think?) fucking gorgeous atmosphere and amazing service. we got duck breast on a bed of lentil and duck leg, bison tartare w/ quail egg, buffalo ribs, and charred brussel sprouts. old fashions and G&Ts were top notch too. they also brought out a shot of sugar with a candle and a stone board with 12 xmas deserts for my birfday coolest presentation ive seen in a dish. then we went to chicago athletic association next door and had cocktails and played checkers and i tried to teach eric chess while we had these neat xmas themed cocktails and made fun of dudes playing boccie ball and danced to bowie and lcd. it. was. lovely. oh he also got me a long style NIN tour poster from this year that has all the fest and preshow dates on them with the Art is Resistance flag. it's dope af.

Y'all so cute. Happy birthday!
If you're ever there for a more casual reason the burger at the Gage is on point as well.

Anyone have any recommendations as to what to eat at Duck Duck Goat? Going there for dinner tonight.
This might sound dumb but I'm kind of put off by almost everything on the dim sum menu having duck and/or goat in it. Like, I love xiao long bao but I don't think I want goat xiao long bao?

May have been mentioned elsewhere, but Curtis Duffy and Michael Muser have departed Grace. I'd imagine they have some type of clause in their contract that prevents them from turning around an opening up another spot?

I had mussels tonight in the Keys, so I’m keeping with the theme of food on this board. They were fresh and buttery and I had like 3 drinks in me so I almost cried.

I shucked oysters with a screwdriver tonight because I'm stupid and didn't ask the market where we bought them to do it for us. Also an 8 pound ham is much larger than I was anticipating, so I guess we're going to be eating ham for the next several weeks.

I ate mussels again tonight and legitimately may have had a tear in my eye because they were so good, so I can only assume I’m gonna full on sob the next time I have them if this progression is any indicator

Went to Taxim with the family last night. Everything was super good, and it might actually be the my favorite Greek food I've ever had.

Work and Class in Denver is having an NYE brunch and I was fortunate enough to grab a reservation. Easily one of my favorite spots in Denver. Curious what the menu will be like since they don't generally do a brunch menu that I'm aware of.

The gravy was more of a rotisserie chicken stew, and it was incredible. Also the first time I've had a tomatillo Bloody Mary. I hope they decide to do brunch more often going forward.

Tomatillo Bloody sounds amazing. One of the friends I stayed with is from Portland and brought some of his own pickled okra, green beans, and pickles and made Bloodies for us every morning 😍
We did brunch at Sassafras on New Year's Day, thanks for that rec awhile back!

Chicago people, what's the best ramen in the city? I tried Kizuki when I lived in Indianapolis and it was fantastic, will probably try one of the Chicago locations eventually but it's on the backburner. Has anyone tried Furious Spoon?
