Forgot to mention, I’ll also be enjoying ATK’s Holiday Spritz cocktail:
• 6 oz sparkling dry white wine
• 3/4 oz St. Germain
• 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
• 1/2 oz Aperol
Build over a few ice cubes in a stemless wine glass. Give it a stir. Garnish with an orange twist.
Highly recommended.

K's family is hosting. We are making cranberry sauce, what I can only describe as a taco-dip-esque appetizer thing (her family recipe, not mine), and some sort of cookie dessert type thing, I think.

we do a pretty standard thanksgiving with my cousins, but i signed up for desert since the fiance is really good at baking. gonna try and do an apple cake

We’re doing mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, stuffing, green bean casserole (I am going to sliver and fry various types of onion for the topping), rolls, and a fall salad (arugula, feta, pomegranate, pepitas, apples, poppyseed dressing). My sister is making a caramelized pear turnover (Claire Saffitz recipe), and E is making a pecan pie. I hope to enter a food coma that ends sometime around mid January WHAT THE FUCK, BOSMA? Can y’all believe this guy? |
