I’ll be going to Vegas for the final weekend of Dead & Co at the Sphere and was looking for some restaurant recommendations! My parents took me to Vegas for my 21st birthday and I kind of hated it. I’ve slightly looked at some “best restaurants in Vegas” lists and haven’t really come up with one that seems like it’s a must go to. Not looking to break the bank, but looking for good food recs. Thanks in advance!

Best meal I had in Vegas was at the One steakhouse in the Virgin hotel but it’s off the strip, so not convenient.
It has been almost ten years now, but I thought JINYA Ramen Bar was great. Again, not on the strip. Also not fancy, but certainly delicious.
We went to Bouchon in December and I thought it was an expensive hassle. The food was good, but not worth the effort imo - the casual bistro in our neighborhood does a better croque madame, for example.
Above all, try to make time to visit Red Rock Canyon just west of the city. The absolute best reason to visit Las Vegas for me. A stunning variety of beautiful rock formations, tons of trails, and a long scenic loop for vehicles.

As scoots and I have both posted incessantly on this forum, my favorite place to eat in Vegas is Best Friend.

Went to Tatiana in NYC last night for dinner, let me tell you, the hype is totally worth it. A 9/10 meal and the only reason I’m not giving it a perfect rating is because it’s extremely loud in there. Not always a bad thing but when you have to shout to talk to the person you’re with, I don’t really like that. Had the curry goat patties, the crab and oxtail rangoons, okra, pastrami, and the bodega special for dessert. Wouldn’t be shocked if this place has a star by the end of the year! Going to four horsemen tonight and I couldn’t convince my girlfriend to allow me to wear my LCD Soundsystem crewneck even though it’s 90 degrees here.

we went to thattu last night. there were only 3 other tables occupied when we walked in, but it filled out more before we left. we got the yucca balls, mushroom/pepper starter, prawns, and chicken roast. everything was very good. terrific flavors, solid spice combos, great textures. i will definitely return at some point.

I'm wondering if they'll make it through all this/if it's just a vocal minority paying attention, but it's a beautiful car crash either way

speaking of awful restaurants, fell down a rabbit hole last week reading about feld and how the chef is a carpetbagger and his beefs with established local chefs (like jason vincent, dude from flour power, etc).

Killing a little time in Milwaukee before VW, tried a BBQ place near the Summerfest grounds called Smoke Shack, it was damn good. Had a local whiskey flight too.

Just saw that they opened a Legal Sea Foods in Marina City last week. I know deep in my heart that it will not be as good as I remember from college but I don't think I'm going to be able to stop myself from at least trying it out.

God dammit Smoque Steak is already closing and turning into an event space.
We went multiple times since it was so close and thought it was great.
