Given the weak return for the Bucs trade back with the Bills, I'm not as pissed that we reached for Ward as I was when it happened. He makes sense, need-wise. Just hard to argue that he'll be as impactful to the team next year as a devastating line with Chubb would've been. Mayfield is whatever, my least preferred of Darnold/Rosen/Baker but eh, what do I know.

Suddenly realized the Panthers might take a WR and I'm gonna be (potentially unreasonably) pissed about it. Happy with the Cards pick.
Also, no fucking way I wouldn't draft Vita Vea once I saw that sweet outfit.

There isn't a QB in this draft that I really like, which is amazing. Last year I was so pissed when the Bears got Trubusky because of all the great options this year. My how things have changed. -Rosen hasn't played a full season since his freshman year and the team went 8-5, 4-8 and 6-7 while he was there. I get the QB isn't the only thing that matters for a team's success but people wouldn't shut up about Cutler's inability to win games in college. Yes, the Pac-12 is a tough conference but last I checked, so is the SEC. -Mayfield is shorter than ideal and has off field issues that are well documented. Can short QBs succeed? Sure! But many short QBs have fallen on their face too. -Allen had a bad completion percentage in college. He also tweeted stupid stuff as a 16 year old. -Darnold is a turnover machine. So is any of the above really that close to 'can't miss'? Frankly I like Randolph and Jackson more than the above guys. If I HAD to pick one of the above four, I'd pick Allen but only if he can sit for at least a year, ideally two (See: NY Giants). I really hope you're being facetious about this part. But sometimes I can't tell with you anymore, given your recent gimmick change. that. yes. |

As shitty as Allen's tweets were, I wouldn't be concerned much. That locker room gonna take care of all of it and quickly. The thing that cracked me up was when he said he just (re)discovered he had sent those tweets the night before the draft? He said his friends brought it to his attention and were like "You might want to delete these." He just forgot he was a racist teenager a few years ago? LOL, I say!
Rosen was pissed he went 10th. I hope he gets to hold Sam's clipboard for a good while.
