Is it just me, or does anyone else think Jerry Jones is a piece of shit?

Also: fuck Mike Ditka. What an embarrassment he is to the Bears in particular and humanity in general.

Fuck the NFL ugh
“The owners of the NFL are reportedly considering a rule change that would make it mandatory for players to stand during the national anthem,” CNBC reports.
“A league spokesman said that the owners would discuss the potential change during a meeting next week.”

I'm kind of OK with this being the spark for the labor battle that brings down the NFL. All it'll take is a few superstars still kneeling. It'll happen and I can't wait.

I do not like the Panthers hype going into this game. Should be a good one, though.

So um... like... about that... yeeeaaahhh...
Weird ass fantasy week all around to boot. Kenny Stills is getting me a win in a league where I was sure I would lose and then my good team completely shit the bed. *sigh*

"At one point, Buffalo Bills co-owner Terry Pegula, moved by Anquan Boldin's story about his cousin being shot and killed by a police officer, complimented him on how impressive he was but kept calling him "Antwan." Then Pegula suggested that Boldin would be the perfect NFL spokesman on social issues not only because he had walked away from the game to pursue causes but because, the owner said, it couldn't be a "white owner but needs to be someone who's black.""
NFL owners are the fucking worst.

Miller dislocated his knee in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Saints. Sources told Mortensen that Miller's dislocated knee is considered "more significant" than a regular dislocation, which is a serious injury.
Vascular surgeons were called in to repair Miller's leg, which includes grafting tissue from the other leg to repair the damaged artery, sources told Mortensen.
Goddamn. Sounds like his career might be over.

Adam Schefter's tweet this morning sounded a little sensational, but he said that surgeons were trying to save his leg.

Just saw what we got back... What the fucking shit? I feel like they could have afforded to trade him, but couldn't even land a second rounder or maybe some depth on our O-line? Good gracious.
He must have pissed someone off.

Brock Osweiler has been named the starting QB for this week's game vs. Philadelphia. That should be "entertaining".

The Browns botching their paperwork in trying to trade for McCarron is pretty hilarious.

What makes it so funny is if you told the story without the team name and asked a football fan to guess which team it was 9/10 people would say the Browns. Probably best for the Browns. McCarron wouldn't be the answer there. Just another name to add to the list of quarterbacks that didn't work out.

Some serious delusion there. I tend to agree based on that statement. It was a knee jerk trade, but they certainly won't have to worry about paying what he will command. I'm just not that upset about it tbh. We're likely stuck with Cam for the next couple years at least for better or worse (I'm still firmly on the Cam Wagon) and I just don't think this move is going to destroy his on field opportunities. Also, I've seen a lot of shade thrown at McCaffrey as if he's not producing. He's averaging about 50 receiving yards a game and has 2 TDs in his rookie season. Not stellar, but not dogshit, either (if we're not talking about fantasy). Pretty sure we'll see an uptick in production from him and Funchess gonna get more looks, too. This doesn't worry me a ton.

The Browns botching their paperwork in trying to trade for McCarron is pretty hilarious. I also read a piece that said it was Cincy's fault because they submitted paperwork that only had one signature. Both organizations leave something to be desired.

Would love it if Funchess elevated his game a bit; I've had to rely on him periodically in two different fantasy leagues this year. Hoping Benjamin will help out Tyrod's value in BUF, too.

Brock Osweiler has been named the starting QB for this week's game vs. Philadelphia. That should be "entertaining". Speculation in Denver is that the Broncos coaching staff doesn't want to debut Lynch this season against a murderers row of defenses, so they elected to go with Brock. Solid endorsement.

I basically went all in with my free agent budget to get Drake from Miami. Figure this is going to be one of the last big RB additions to become available, so hopefully it works out. Nothing left to lose at this point.
