Andrew Luck was booed off the field yesterday. Colts fans should be ashamed of themselves. People I follow from back home in Indy posted videos of them burning his jersey lol I'm not surprised at all because most of them are entitled, dumb babies

I've never heard of that before but it sounds peak board and I'm here for it Basically, everyone drafts a team with 20 players. After the draft, there are no moves regardless of byes, injuries, suspensions, whatever. You don't set a lineup each week. Your "lineup" is set for you after all the games have been played for the week - the system chooses the best possible lineup after the fact based on the individual players on your roster and how they performed that week. For example, if you have DeShaun Watson, Mitch Trubisky and Andy Dalton on your roster, whoever had the most points that week is retroactively your QB for the week. If Watson goes down at some point during the year, then you're left with Trubisky or Dalton for the rest of the season. So it's important to build a roster with depth across all positions. Default scoring is pretty standard as are the starting lineups (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX [RB/WR/TE], DEF ). Yahoo! just added Best Ball leagues this year. Details here: bestball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/howToPlayThe only time investment is doing the draft. After that, you just sit back and let the season unfold. Inevitably, people will end up completely decimated at certain positions. Good times!

People I follow from back home in Indy posted videos of them burning his jersey lol I'm not surprised at all because most of them are entitled, dumb babies There's no excuse to burn jerseys at all. It's childish and ridiculous. However, I will say (as a Bears fan who doesn't really care about the Colts) as far as the booing goes ... this news dropped right at gametime, and Colts fans had very high expectations this year. It will take a little time for their fans to get over the initial emotion of seeing their Super Bowl hopes (not just for this year but the next few years) go up in smoke, and the player they've built the entire team around retire unexpectedly with the expectation of years left in his career. Luck has every right to retire and it is totally reasonable (especially given his constant injury issues), but I think it's a little judgemental to get too upset at their fans for booing within hours of hearing this very surprising news that totally devastates the team for the foreseeable future. I'm sure after a little time for the fans to cool down they'll give him a farewell he deserves at Lucas Oil. Edit: just to be clear I'm not defending the booing, and it isn't ok to do it in this situation. But I'm not going to totally crucify emotional (and potentially alcohol fueled) Colts fans for having a less-than-reasoned response to this news hours after it dropped. We've all been in situations where in hindsight we aren't proud of our responses to unexpected news and I'd bet that most of those fans would probably act differently after some time to think about it.

I can understand the fans being sad, upset, and emotional in general - but I still don't think justifies them booing him. I'm guessing there's some people who booed on Saturday that would have reacted differently in hindsight, but there's a whole lot of Colts fans spewing hate and defending the booing on the internet.

Totally agree and updated my post to reflect that. Booing isn't ok but I think many fans would react differently with a little more time to process it. And I can't understand defending the booing after some time to sit back and let emotions settle down. The act itself isn't really defensible ... just not going to pretend that we all haven't reacted poorly at some point in our lives to unexpected bad news. As for the other stuff and hate online...it's insane to me how entitled fans are (not just Colts on this, but NFL fans in general, and even a few media personalities). Luck has every right to retire any time he wants for any reason he wants. He doesn't need to explain himself if he doesn't want to, and he certainly doesn't owe anyone anything. It sucks for the fans, but that's life.

I saw Gottlieb's tweet. Given who he's working for, and the response from everyone else in the sports world, I'm convinced he did that for clicks...and it worked.

I just noticed in the credits that Liev Schreiber is the narrator for Hard Knocks? How did I not know that??

It looks like he does a bunch of HBO sports stuff, plus a bunch of other things as well. He's might be doing more narrating than acting at this point.

So since show announcements in recent months have been pretty underwhelming, I've been spending more money on sporting events. Been to a few Cubs games this year, going to the Blackhawks home opener for a friend's birthday and am now interested in going to a Bears game this season. I'm not really a football fan but do like bobbleheads and since the Bears are giving away bobbleheads at each of their home games this year, I couldn't think of a better year to go to one. Looking to go on 11/24 against the Giants (Sayers/Butkus double bobblehead) but since I've only been to one Bears game in my life (I was super young and just remember being cold the entire time), I'm not really sure what "good" seats are. Granted, the absolute most I want to spend on a pair is $300, so I've been looking at the 400 section and came across a pair in section 445, Row 32, Seats 27-28 (aisle) for $125 a ticket. Is this a good deal? Haven't been able to find anything cheaper than that but 32 rows up seems a bit much? Any help would be appreciated!

The Bears sell out every home game even when they're bad, so now that they're good again I imagine the secondary market will be pretty rough. The tickets you're looking at will be pretty high up, and it sounds like they're priced about $50 over face (last I checked that section was $75 face). That's not a terrible deal per se, but you might be able to get those a little cheaper closer to game day, especially if the weather is bad.

What the hell are The Texans doing ? The best part about today is that they traded clowney for the same players that they could’ve just signed clowney for

So pretty cool news. The local Bears meetup club invited me to a tailgate on game day and a party at the team hotel the day before to potentially meet some players.
