I have no idea who is going to play this festival but I imagine they are going to skew a little older next year and my bet is that will include Lady Gaga and Guns N Roses (or possibly Axel DC) as your top 2, and Bad Bunny and a mainstream country headliner (Miranda Lambert/Eric Church/Dixie Chicks) and than 3 acts for the kids and a courtesy indie rock act (Haim is a good guess if the next album has a hit single)

Angus got the band back together, or at least what's left of it. No more Axel/DC.

She's active around early August, could come back and play Lolla/Osheaga/Outside Lands

Alright we got T-Swift and Billie and Lana....will Lolla go for it and get a 4th female headliner on the south field next year?

Billie is definitely a South field headliner. And I'm definitely OK with her playing...I think she'd put on a fun set and she's a guilty pleasure.
If we've already got Billie and Lana has South headliners I'm not unhappy with that.

I tried to watch her show at Lolla in 2018. The problem was that no matter where I stood I could barely hear her (and not because of her quiet style of music) because of all the people talking and not watching the show.

Yeah the problem with both Billie and Lana is the crowd. But I had a great time at Lana when she headlined the North stage a few years back, and I imagine same could happen at Billie if you just kinda hang towards the back of the crowd. Of course 'hanging at the back of the crowd' for Billie headlining the south stage might mean you're knee deep in Buckingham fountain, but whatever.

Those crowd issues are a Lolla thing, not specific to any particular audience. Unless you're right at the front of any set, you'll be surrounded by talkers no matter who you're seeing.

There are talkers at every festival. Haven’t noticed much of a difference at Lolla compared to other fests.

Lolla is significantly worse than p4k or Riot Fest (although Friday of Riot Fest was very Lollaesque this year).

Counterpoint: I went to all 3 of those festivals this year and Riot Fest Sunday had by far the worst talkers of any of them.

While Lolla crowds might skew younger and more annoying, Lana and Billie fans are a totally different beast. They are fanatical to an insane level and have a (well earned) reputation of ruining whatever day either artist is playing by camping out the stage and talking through/ignoring whatever acts are on that stage before. Only artist I've seen on a similar level are the Eminem fans when they booed Broken Bells for their entire set. Even Black Sabbath fans in 2012 were more respectful to Passion Pit (who I cant imagine is in most Sabbath fans' wheelhouse) than the Lana fans were 3 years ago.

That's all fair and valid. The one thing I will point out is that it's not just the kids doing the talking. Radiohead had an older crowd (for Lolla) in 2016, but I could not get away from the talkers no matter how close I got to the stage - which seemed to be the theme for the entire weekend.

The volume was so low at the start of their set, I was pissed. I think they turned it up after Daydreaming

Damn, I was lucky enough to be around a super quiet and respectful crowd for Radiohead up close near the right. I don't think I had a problem with talkers at any headlining set this year although there were some loud motherfuckers at Janelle Monae before I moved.
