Becky Hammon and Jerry Stackhouse said to be the frontrunners for the Detroit head coaching job. I never thought I'd cheer for the Pistons as long as Blake is on the team, but either of these options would be a good start.

so many hot takes on twitter last night halfway through the 1st quarter about how the rockets were finished. don't people realize an nba game isn't finished until the final buzzer? games can change so quickly... rockets just didn't give up last night.

I mean after game 1 everyone and their mother on both the internet and in the media wrote the Rockets off completely as having zero chance, then after game 2 acted like they never said any of those things, then again forgot everything after game 3 and talked about how the Warriors can't be beat. When it comes to the Warriors as soon as they get any sort of lead all the hot takes come out. This Rockets team still has the league MVP, was the number 1 seed, and handily beat this Golden State team in the regular season. That's not to say it isn't an uphill battle, the Warriors are maybe the best NBA team ever and I still consider us the underdogs despite these things I just said, but writing them off completely anytime anything looks remotely bad is silly.

I basically avoid reading anything about the Cavs/Celtics series at this point.

I think Houston would win in 5 against either team but I'd honestly rather see LeBron in the finals again.

IDK Brad Stevens is a genius. I think they could be competitive against Houston.

Just watch Houston blow a 3-2 lead and then have Chris Paul bounce over to Golden State in the offseason.

I know you are joking but Chris Paul isn't leaving Houston
I was at that game last night. It was fun but really frustrating. Rockets did everything right except make shots. They were playing strong defense, getting rebounds, forcing turnovers, but that game should have never been close. But a win is a win even if its sloppy
and that was the worst I've seen Golden State play in a while.

The games have been kind of wild in the last two nights in that the team that dominated most of each game and ended up winning did not shoot well at all. I expected Houston to kind of falter on the defensive end when they weren't rolling offensively, but they did a really nice job.

His reasoning is that LeBron took the easy route by leaving for Miami. He loves Durant. I will continue to think that Durant's move was so much more cowardly than LeBron's ever was. "The Decision" was totally stupid but he didn't leave his team that blew a 3-2 series lead FOR THE TEAM THAT BEAT HIM. That's worse than any WWE heel turn.

Harden has missed his last 20 3-point attempts. He’s gotta be in the running for least clutch of all time, right?
He can obviously re-write that narrative with a strong performance in the next game or two. But it really does seem like he just gets tight in these big games.

I’m interested to see if he’s less tense in this next game and the shots start to fall. Obviously it’s a high pressure game but they aren’t facing elimination/a series deficit if they lose

And it's not like he was leaving for more money, he actually took less money. KD can do what he wants but I'm not gonna give the guy any respect for taking the easiest road possible to a ring and half breaking the NBA in the process. I get why he did it but it doesn't mean I respect it. I wouldn't have done it personally, it'd always be a mark on my legacy and I'd always wonder if I could have got it done without taking the easiest road. If I were him I would have gone to Boston (apologies to Borracho), where he probably still would have won a ring in the end. Granted that's if he's even capable of winning one without a ton of help, I get to question that because of the path he took

I would've preferred to see the Durant/Westbrook combo continue to challenge the Warriors as they were, but I have no problem with him making that decision. It's actually been pretty entertaining to have all the stars in the West of the last 5 years leading the different teams in GS, Houston, OKC and San Antonio, and will be even more so if the Pelicans can build around AD and get them up to that level.

I guess I’d respect the decision more if he was just transparent and said “I didn’t want to play with Russ anymore” or “Billy is a shit coach” or even “the seafood is better in California” (whatever the reason(s) may be) instead of being a fake tough guy and using a second twitter account to say some of those things because he’s too insecure about his decision to own it.
