Booker/Chris/Jackson is such a fun core in Phoenix. They should be fun to watch very soon.

Sources: The Celtics have agreed to trade Jayson Tatum, Avery Bradley & Jae Crowder to the Pacers for Paul George. (Via @thevertical)
Great trade for Boston

Looks like that's from a fake Woj account.
Can't believe Monk fell that far though, great addition for the Hornets.

The Bulls are such a fucking shitshow.

Indeed. The front office has done a remarkable job of taking maybe the most popular franchise in sports in the last 25 years and turning their fans against them.
I'm in the 'Denial' phase at this point and the anger/depression hasn't really set in. Gotta go buy all the Wolves stuff.

when my friends would say "just burn it all down and rebuild" I couldn't forget about this era. the only good part was making fun of all the scrubs like Hoiberg. I guess we can still do that

Nothing like a rebuilding team with Rajon Rondo and an 85 year old Dwayne Wade on your starting roster. Should be fun!

Have they picked up Rondo's option yet? They probably shouldn't, but they kinda have to, right?

Not yet, but I'd be surprised if they didn't.

rondo will be cut - they can save like 10 of 13 million by doing so. almost certainly, they will also buy out wade for like 95 cents on the dollar.

I don't think they'll buy him out. I think he plays like half the year and then they trade him.

i don't see why the bulls would bother keeping him. dunn and lavine are the starting guards. gotta let them play. and why would wade want to stay if the bulls would consider a buy out. he can go to cleveland or wherever paul ends up on a league minimum deal (because the bulls will give him 20 million to leave).

would a buy out count toward getting to the salary floor?

Reinsdorf doesn't buy people out.

Yeah Bulls don't really operate like a normal NBA franchise. Wouldn't be surprised if they hold onto Wade because of the hometown connection plus they need some resemblance of star power on this team.

That's my thought. They can get away with trading him in the second half, but he's the only semblance of a draw to start the season. There's not even any attachment for fans to any of the 'prospects.'

Only good thing to come out of this is at least they didn't trade Butler to the Cavs.

I highly doubt Reinsdorf buys out Wade. The front office has such an aversion to tanking, that by holding onto him they could still publicly say they are trying to remain competitive while still being a lottery team.
Also the Bulls sell a ton of Wade merch. He was 11th in the NBA last year in jersey sales (Jimmy Butler was 8th).

Only good thing to come out of this is at least they didn't trade Butler to the Cavs. Honestly, the move to the Wolves is about as good of a scenario as you can ask for. I will absolutely try and watch all of their games, which for the first time probably ever I will not do for the Bulls.

I watched a ton of Wolves games on League Pass last year, way more than I watched the Bulls. It was super fun seeing classic Thibs sets and watching KAT every game.
I think I'm basically a Wolves fan now.

The quality of League Pass seems so shitty. I would get it, but the limited number of games in HD and the frequency that it would skip or cut in and out when I watched during the preview stretches did not sell me on it.

I honestly can't imagine a worse foundation for a rebuild:
PG: Kris Dunn/Cameron Payne/Jerian Grant SG: Zach Lavine on a max contract/Denzel Valentine SF: Paul Zipser? PF: Bobby Portis/Lauri Markkanen C: Robin Lopez
So depressing.
