Makes sense to me. OKC saves a ton of tax money and either gets a solid piece with Schroder, or maybe saves even more money if he gets arrested and his contract is voided (idk what's up with all that). Atlanta gets a 1st and gets out of Schroders multi year contract and tank even harder. Solid on both sides

I don't see Melo as a fit on Houston, but hey, whatever works.

Elton Brand is the new GM of the 76ers. Well then.

They've seemed really high on him as a front office presence but still feels hasty. I guess we'll see.

He was Young dij's absolute favorite player back in the day. Always a fan of former players getting front office jobs so this is really cool to see.

I reallllllllllly don't want to see him on any of those teams.
Also v excited for Elton Brand. I loved that dude, too, and seems like a great fit for the role.

At least they have Luol Deng as a fallback option.

Seems like he wanted to go somewhere that could, you know, compete to win?

He needs to go somewhere with the cap space to give him a max deal. Those three teams fit the bill.

Ahh, that makes sense. I guess him and Kristaps would be fun but it would also still be the Knicks

I just had a thought: does this make the Bulls the....the winner of their trade with the Wolves? Or just the second loser?

Depends on the return they get for Butler. And how LaVine plays out this contract. It certainly doesn't look good for either Butler or Thibs that they couldn't make this work beyond one year.

Saw an article not worth posting where they make a case for a Butler to the Hornets trade. I wouldn't mind a couple of them (the ones that didn't involve Kemba).
Unrelated: I can't wait for the season to start.

The Wiggins/Butler beef has been pretty entertaining. I just hope they don't trade him before media day
