I remember the chilled monkey brains and eyeball soup, in addition to the snakes.
I would not have made it through the first course at that meal.
TOTP: IRT Temple of Doom feast scene.

This thread reminded me of a story about my brother:
He went to Dublin, which was his first international trip. I ask him how his trip was when he gets back, and his first comment was:
“I was really disappointed in the lasagna, but otherwise it was a fun trip”

I would eat snake--in fact, I think I have--I just wouldn't eat these snakes. I might be able to handle the bugs. The way the monkey brains were served would be too much.

0, but I haven't tried all of it so there's that.
Would not eat anything from the temple of doom dinner though.
Weirdest thing I've ever had was rooster testicles in Nam. My guide kept encouraging me too and told me "good for men!"

My guide kept encouraging me too and told me "good for men!" When my wife and I were in the Bahamas, the locals wanted my wife to eat conch pistol. It is supposed to be good for fertility. It just looked vomit-inducing to me.
