I installed a bathroom sink/vanity yesterday - kind of funny to think how much I would have tried to avoid this type of project 5 years ago, so I'm pretty damn proud of myself.
Also cleaned the gutters, decorated the outside of the house and made sure the backyard was all cleaned up. Definitely trying to earn this Nola trip.

Very fun day today, first the city of Houston issued a boil water notice last night because apparently the water plant lost power or something. And today my fridge seems to be out and I noticed too late and most everything in my freezer is thawed/melted
I'm in an apartment and don't own the fridge so I don't have to buy a new one but hoping maintenance gets here quickly so I can maybe salvage something. ugh
edit- fridge fixed thankfully, but they said it likely disconnected this weekend while I was gone because the power went out for a bit, so pretty much everything has to be thrown out. ugh

Woke up promptly at 8am due to landscapers outside my girlfriend’s place moving and blowing leaves and it hasn’t stopped in 2 straight hours and god hates me

Got home from the Jeff Rosenstock/Laura Stevenson show. Let my dog out. She must have either rolled in some literal shit, got sprayed by a skunk, or some combination, because she came in and smelled horrible and would not calm down. So a 11:45 PM dog bath is a really good time.

Got home from the Jeff Rosenstock/Laura Stevenson show. Let my dog out. She must have either rolled in some literal shit, got sprayed by a skunk, or some combination, because she came in and smelled horrible and would not calm down. So a 11:45 PM dog bath is a really good time. Sounds like a skunking, I've had a similar experience with my last dog. Sorry man, the absolute worst thing when you think you're about to go to bed. |

I think we lucked out, a skunk definitely sprayed around our backyard, but I don't think it got her, but it definitely spooked her. She smelled alot better after the bath, and I have never had a dog get sprayed, but I know it takes a few washings before the smell goes away. |

We're looking for a fridge to put in the garage, just something super barebones but want full size because we keep running out of space with the fridge in the kitchen
Was hoping to just spend like $500 with delivery but that seems like a bit of a pipedream after actually shopping. We did find a $500 one at Costco in store, but they wouldn't do delivery unless you buy it online and the same one online was $750 and sold out. And didn't want to deal with it myself, I don't have a vehicle that could hold it nor much help to unload it. There's a Best Buy Outlet that sells returned and damaged items not super far away we checked a few months ago and had found multiple in that range that looked perfect when we went a few months ago, but went back this weekend now ready to buy and they only had one option in that range and it was honestly not in great shape and smelled bad.
maybe I should be thinking outside the box options. Or maybe just spend the money. Never thought about the cost of fridges before but they are more than I thought they'd be

I would just put something on your socials and see if anyone is getting a new fridge and wants to get rid of their old one, I feel like a garage fridge is not something you need to buy new.

I got an email about presale tickets to see Three Dog Night in Jeff City. I was like, "they're still around?" Apparently, the only original member of the band still active is the lead singer.
While I'm sure it's fun to sing 'Joy to the World' with a bunch of people, I'm not interested in going.

My wife and I saw both the fake band and Chuck Negron (solo). Chuck was playing a dinosaur show that featured the Turtles, "The Archies," Gary Puckett, The Cowsills, and others. The fake band was ok, but it was fake.
