ah. well umm no.
as far as the books go, Dany and Tyrion probably have the strongest plot armor. GRRM has been pretty vocal about them being his favorites to write. (i'd say the same for Jon but that's presently a point of debate at the end of book 5)
sorry, total tangent at this point. EVERYONE GO BACK TO THE HORSE DRAWING

Apparently I'm a casual enough viewer that I can read this and say oh! That's interesting.

I read some outrageous theory that... Jon Snow somehow gets turned into the new Night King (with the help of Dany?) to exact revenge on Cerci, the gist of it being Jon sacrificing himself to destroy Cerci and allow Dany to take the throne

This past episode was the first time it seemed like she actually considered it. Every other time she was in complete agreement and wanted to gain the common people's love. she hasnt been very interested in the common people since she landed in westeros (which is partially the show's fault because they've decided to completely stop showing us the common people or anything other than cgi boats and dragons) but also lady olenna planted the seeds in her from the start of her campaign to "be a dragon." dany wanted to sack KL the minute she arrived and it would've been 1000x better and easier than anything that's happened since. i dont even consider this a #madqueen story yet. she's just understandably fucking pissed that her advisers have screwed her at every turn -- and also D&D She doesn't. Tyrion says she's not here to be queen of the ashes and she agrees. She literally says that's what Viserys would do implying it is an idiotic move.

Hey remember when Dany freed slaves in like three cities because she cares about the common people? The writers didn't!!!

She went full on Mad Queen. That was set up pretty blatantly, she's been unraveling all season. Dany is now the final threat, the only question left is who is going to take her out? I would assume it has to either be Jon or Arya.

Well, this thing went officially off the rails. Such a disappointing episode, and by the looks of it, such a disappointing show ending. This is like How I Met your mother all over again. Years invested watching the show and the writers come up with this?

I've got it.
GRRM is using the show to focus test endings before committing to them.

Nah, this is how he had the story ending, they are just doing it in a super rushed way because they ran out of time (and maybe money as well).

Once the season started I thought there was at least a 50-50 chance it could happen Gonna be a very interesting finale

I thought it was awesome! I've been rooting for the characters to kinda just eat each other alive following the Winterfell battle and this episode did not disappoint in that regard. It felt rushed, sure. Should have been more episodes. I was extremely satisfied with the Hound's climactic finish.

I was very disappointed with Cersei's death. After all the horrible shit she's done, she deserves some sort of romantic end with Jaime?
Bitch, no.

Bitch, no. Agreed, that was not satisfying. Pretty sure they deviated from GRRM on this.

The only satisfying scene in this entire episode was Arya's and the Hound's final moment.

Only thing I didn't enjoy was Cerseis death.
I will wait for next episode to reserve judgement on everything.
Cinematography was top notch

I always thought this was going to happen because this is the way the show goes. I just think it's too rushed. Needed like 2-4 more episodes

Yes overall I thought it was a nice bounce back after a very clunky episode last week. Agreed on reserving final judgement for the finale.

The only satisfying scene in this entire episode was Arya's and the Hound's final moment. Okay, and Qyburn's death.
