The post The Armed run until Lucy was pretty rough for me. Dry Cleaning was so boring and I still don’t get Iceage, despite trying. That being said, really did enjoy a lot of what I saw. Mitski was not great tbh. Felt almost no energy there which is a huge difference from her Be The Cowboy shows, so that was a bummer. Still, good weather and a nice time seeing all of you yet again. Let’s do it tomorrow

I think Lucy dacus had the set of the day. I also saw Hannibal buress DJ again. I’m pretty sure I’m the only person without a personal relationship with the man who can claim that

Yesterday was fun. Pretty much stayed at Green/Red all day except to use my Plus privileges to piss in peace away from the poors.
I thought Dry Cleaning was great but I get why people hate the British talk-singing thing. Magdalena Bay was so much fun. The singer is a cornball but it works.
Lucy Dacus was terrific. It's been so much fun seeing her career progress from opening for Hamilton Leithauser to having thousands of people sing along to every word.
Japanese Breakfast was fine but her music just doesn't do much for me even though it should be right up my alley.
Mitski was just okay unfortunately. I absolutely love her music, but her live show just doesn't sound very good. I've seen her at Lincoln Hall, the Vic, and now P4K, and it always sounds muddy and messy. Really hoping she figures out her live show at some point since I assume she will just keep getting bigger and bigger.

Also it was very cute how many parents brought their awkward teens to Mitski. Continuing the tradition of bored dads watching Backstreet Boys and One Direction.

Watched CupcaKKe and The Armed on the webcast yesterday. The Armed's set looked like fun, I liked how the backup singers/screamers all had their faces painted like Violent J.

Because I was a little tired, I didn't stay past the first 1/2 of lucy dacus and the second 1/2 of karate, and because japanese breakfast didn't impress me at pofo 2018, and because I've seen low at least 3 times. I was initially disappointed I couldn't make it until mitski, until I saw the reviews of boarders and others of her set.
