I had every intention of leaving the Roots set early but it was so good I ended up staying for the whole thing. Non-stop grooving.

Toro y Moi was one of the best fest sets I've ever seen.
The Roots were awesome. Super fun show.

Top 5:
1.) Toro y Moi 2.) Parquet Courts 3.) Spiritualized 4.) The National 5.) The Roots
Really great weekend. If Tame Impala set the benchmark as the most packed I've ever seen this fest, I would estimate this was between like 65-75%.

Best sets of weekend
Friday: Ethel cain Dawn Richard/Parquet Courts Spiritualized
Saturday: The Armed Dry Cleaning Karate
Sunday: L'Rain Natural Information Society Toro Y Moi The Roots
The only objectively terrible set I saw all weekend was the Mitski set which was a disaster. The National are kind of depressing now too. Thank god for the Roots I guess.

It’s so annoying because the two Be the Cowboy shows I saw were engaging and her voice was huge and filled the whole room so like, I know she can do it in theory I have only seen her once around Puberty 2 and it was just her solo mostly with an acoustic guitar and she absolutely filled the whole room with her voice and commanded the audience incredibly well, so yeah, she definitely can do it I haven't had a chance to see her since unfortunately
