At this point I don't ever see me coming back for this fest particularly if the new Denver one works out (and doesn't totally suck).

I wouldn't doubt for a second that they've booked one of their major headliners already. I would actually be surprised if they haven't yet.

I had fun this year but let's be real. RhCp/Muse/Killers have played this thing within the last year. The Muse guy is actively campaigning to get another bite of the apple next year. Do we think Dan Auerbach isn't smelling a paycheck? The Mumsons guys?
Vampire Weekend and the AM are ok but there are a lot of other turds floating around. There will be some good and some bad but let's not be naive

Mumford have been touring the same album for over two years
They won't be at Lolla next year
Could definitely see TBK happening with a new album tho

How crazy is it that Black Keys have actually stayed away long enough that I'm getting fairly ready for their return?

But guys, it's been so long! Excited may be too strong of a word, but I can say it would be something I'd gladly see.
I actually haven't seen them since Bonnaroo 2011 and I'm pretty sure they haven't toured in 3 years or played major fests in 4 or 5.

they did OSL, Osheaga, Pemberton, and Gov's Ball in 2015 (at the very least)
and Dan toured the piss outta the Arcs last year.
1 year absence does not a yearning make.
edit: they were at fucking Primavera that year too.

I guess I ignored those 2015 sets.
That will still be 3 years next year. And it seems like a whole lot considering I'm pretty sure there were zero year break from 2006-2015. At the very least, you can't blame fests for booking them again if it happens.
