richard & linda thompson - shoot out the lights. this might be the best album recorded by a couple while their marriage was falling apart. isn't the entire catalogue of ike and tina turner sensational albums about their marriage falling apart?

Sade- Diamond Life is probably a good album but god does it make me feel like I’m watching a weird 80s softcover porn on HBO late night. Is that dismissive? Probably!

To Hear for the First Time:- Bob Dylan - his Born Again Christian albums? Idk Just Saved (1980) and Shot of Love (1981) are considered part of Dylan's born again Christian phase. Infidels was produced by Mark Knopfler and features "Sweetheart Like You" (probably a top 20 favorite for me) and a few other tunes that range from okay to very good. But Oh Mercy (1989) produced by Daniel Lanois is outstanding and would probably squeak into my top 10 Dylan records as his last great album. In my opinion, it's a must listen and you can probably skip the rest, but maybe give Infidels a spin.

I listened to the bad brains album and I thought it was fine. I get why Fugazi and many others were into it. I also thought it was fun to figure out where Jah is from after being on a forum with a guy named Jah back in 2007 and wondering “what a weird name, wonder where it’s from!”

Also I bought an original pressing of Gaucho and listened to it and I think it’s 5th in the Dan discography for me. Might still make my list.
