Just bring the doge and your dad will fall in love with him. It's all good.
My brother's MIL is similar in that she hates doges but also insists on hosting certain holidays so she has just had to accept that my brother and folks are going to bring their doges or no one will come for Thanksgiving, SHARON.

So we're all like trying to figure out what to get for my nephews, and my sister said that one of her kids spent 15 minutes talking to the elf yesterday but he wouldn't tell her what he told to the elf. The other one wrote a letter to the elf, but she can't read it and lost it.

Had our family Christmas thing yesterday since we're going to NYC tomorrow. My family used to have a tradition of going to my grandma's house/apartment and having chili on Christmas Eve. I found her old chili recipe and I'm going to give it a shot for tomorrow.
