stadium shows at least. that drake crowd is still the best one i've ever seen. The one time I saw Drake the crowd was awful but hey all of this is anecdotal anyway

If you had that much fun at a kendrick set you should go to more hip-hop shows. everything you described is pretty universal to them. Yeah, same thing could be said about all the big acts like Kanye, Jay-Z, Drake, Eminem, etc. It's also like that for a lot of arena bands that aren't quite as sleepy as Radiohead. I would have assumed that everyone on this board has been to tons of arena shows in their life, even if they only go to a few per year.

safe to say ive been to a lot of arena shows, but really i try to avoid them for the most part. i went to more when i was younger but they're crazy over priced these days. last one i went to was life of pablo which i think is the only one ive been to since i moved back to chicago. in nyc i think i only saw arcade fire, blur, the postal service, and leonard cohen in an arena.

I think the last arena show I saw was Fleetwood Mac and that was a weird situation. The last one I intentionally went to was Yeezus, I think.

arena shows are not my favorite thats for sure. show was done at 11, and KC is pretty easy to get around. I didn't get home till 12:30 b/c of traffic, lines, etc. I found it funny that Kendrick took time to promote the idea that we're all one and togetherness, and then the lights go on and everyone instantly becomes a selfish prick wanting to get out of there faster than anyone else. They've apparently never heard of the zipper effect for traffic. Literally had people screaming at us in the parking garage while inching forward. so much for being humble.

I don't go to too many because most end up as headliners at fests I go to.
arena shows I've done:
kanye (x6) drake arcade fire the weeknd (was free) radiohead (x2) the who (for mom bday) bruce springsteen stones and macca next month
of those radiohead (besides macca) is the only one that i paid for that ended up headlining fests i've been to, but the arena shows were kol and the fests were amsp.

Pretty sure that the only stadium show I've done is Kanye, but it's because they're usually a bit too expensive to rationalize. I'm doing Billy Joel (with my parents), Lady Gaga, and Lorde in the upcoming months though.
If I lived closer to a big stadium maybe I would but pretty much anything the smaller stadium in Peoria gets is country flavor of the month and Bassnectar every other Halloween.

I can't begin to count the number of arena shows I went to as a youth. Seventh grade - senior year of high school was pretty much just a constant blur of various nu-metal package tours at Allstate and like, Twisted Christmas type shows. I'm not proud.

I'm kinda like neader on this, I save the big name acts for festival sets and that's afforded me the chance to see stuff like Green Day, Soundgarden, Eminem, and others without having to deal with the usual crap of an arena show.
actual arena shows tho
Tool (more than 6 times, can't remember) Radiohead (3 arenas, one fest) NIN Kendrick Korn (high school folks, high school) Incubus Disturbed (again, high school)
probably the only big arena shows I've done, but mid-sized with just as bad crowds/traffic/lines
Arcade Fire The National The Cure A Perfect Circle Deftones

Man I have seen a ton of arena shows. Stadium shows not so much. I think only U2 at Camp Randall.
Is anyone else seeing Gaga next Friday? I am unexpectedly going.

Mrs. Pale Hose wants to go badly, I'm considering surprising her depending on the cost of tickets.

I have been to so many arena/stadium shows, here are some favorites without putting too much research into it:
Aerosmith w/Jackyl at the United Center 12/6/1994
REM w/Radiohead at Ramat Gan Stadium (Israel) 8/9/1995
Pantera & White Zombie w/The Deftones at Rosemont Horizon 8/9/1996
The Black Keys w/Arctic Monkeys at the United Center 03/19/2012
Pearl Jam at Wrigley Field 8/20/2016
Petty and Dead & Co are Wrigley this year were both fantastic as well.

These lists are weird. Why are we lumping arena and stadium shows together?
Oh hi, alady.

I mean seeing U2 at an 80k stadium is pretty different than seeing the Dead at an 18k arena but whatever.

I included baseball stadiums cuz I figured it would be about the same amount of people as an arena. I've never seen a show at a football stadium, but that seems like it would be a different animal.
