I'd love to know what that Rockies deal was that Holland agreed on and then didn't sign. I could only assume it's a #feelsbadman now I'm guessing it was something similar to what they ended up giving Wade Davis (3/52). And yeah, Holland is likely going to regret not taking that deal.

Pretty sure Jake Burger blew out his achilles today by the looks of how he went down running out a ground ball.
*sigh*

Adolfo and Jimenez are also banged up. The Adolfo story is weird - he may need TJ surgery, but the Sox are putting it off to have him play DH.

I just got a cheap ticket to the White Sox vs Royals game on Aug 1. Any suggestions for parking or Train (with parking)? I'll be coming from the south.

I've looked at the lots around the stadium. $20 isn't great. But it may be the simplest choice.
How is getting in and out? I'll be coming up on the Dan Ryan. Is it a toll road?

i'll let someone answer who might have a better alternative parking idea.
i've never actually parked there, just tailgated there, but there's tons of parking spots so i can't imagine it's too terrible getting out. probably what you'd expect. the dan ryan is not a toll road so you're fine there.
in terms of train from the south, there's a metra stop nearby that's the rock island line if that's near where you're coming from at all.

Thanks. I've rode the Rock Island once (Lolla 2005) so I'm somewhat familiar with it.

I've never actually parked in a lot at Comiskey. There's plenty of cheaper alternatives on 35th west of the ballpark. My parents always use a gas station near Daley's old house and it's apparently pretty cheap. If you're already staying in the city you should just leave your car and use the Red Line, though.

Plus that's where the good food is at if you want to grab something to eat before going to the ballpark, so there's that.

Is there any place to park near the south end of the Red Line? That would be my first choice. Is street parking safe at the end of the line?

No the 95th and Dan Ryan station isn't in a great neighborhood.

Thanks to everyone. I think I will head towards the stadium and see what happens. I like the gas station idea as well if it's cheaper and fairly close.

You'll find $10 options around that area and it's easily walkable. I'd go that route instead of leaving your car further south.

I like how none of the players are actually "standing up."

Mike Moustakas is supposedly close to heading back to the Royals. No word on terms yet, but I'm guessing it's not the deal he and Boras were hoping for.

Same with CarGo and the Rockies. Sounds like both players are taking one year deals, not that surprising this late in the game.

I'm sure that Boras negotiated that Moose is exempt from the Royals porn ban. Maybe not the 5 year deal he wanted but probably still feels like a win

Five years without porn? That might be tough.
