Lots of chatter on inforoo and the Coachella board that JT and Gambino are headlining. That’s not going to do much to get me to drop over a grand to attend this. Oh and apparently Budweiser is replacing Heineken as the beer sponsor. Actually almost of all this sounds better than last year already? i would much rather see that beyonce set than both jt and gambino even if it means the weeknd and em are there.

I'm good with the speculation. I question Gambino being a headliner, but I'm an old and clearly confused by a lot of things.

hes #3 at ACL between Metallica and Monkeys so unless the new album tanks which is really unlikely with how big "This is America" is he's definitely a headliner

Just "seems" like a big jump. I know we've had this same argument about Arctic Monkeys recently, so expectations need to change on my part.

Folks are saying Justin Timberlake and Childish Gambino are “confirmed” but to your point of rumors with legs not really

JT might be enough to get the wife to go back to the polo fields this year.

Prior to 2018 I would have been very excited for that top 3 Now it's a pass for me

This is the second year in a row where Coachella has all three headliners basically be in the same genre. I'm confused why they are doing it again. Needs a rock headliner or something idk

Yeah it’s pretty puzzling unless they plan on continuing to go in a pop direction for acts on the top lines.

The last times Coachella has booked a headliner that wasn't on an extremely large tour:
2017: Radiohead (toured enough, and played other festivals) 2016: LCD Soundsystem (turned into the biggest festival whore of the year) 2014: Outkast (turned into the biggest festival whore of the year) 2013: Blur / Stone Roses
So it's basically been at least 5 years since something truly out of left field was Coachella's golden goose.

Bey was but the pregnancy kinda screwed that up

Didn't she do a big tour recently?

Bey was but the pregnancy kinda screwed that up I didn't count it because she didn't play, but she's also on an enormous stadium tour this year. Booking the year's biggest arena/stadium tours "first" when they still go out on those tours within the year is hardly impressive.

Even though they both toured I would argue that AC/DC in 2015 and GNR in 2016 were still out of left field since they went against the grain of what’s become a typical Coachella headliner.

Kanye, Gambino, and Timberlake. Male-chella. i dont doubt this but is there a source or is it just the coachella board babbling? honestly gambino will have the biggest crowd out of all of those at this point (i'd probably watch a few songs at least) wouldnt miss JT of course but pretty sure i'd skip yeezy or maybe watch the trainwreck from the back. im way more interested in know if any of the #rare rumors like Aphex Twin have legs this time or not but also ive debated dropping my ticket and saying the Bey performance was good enough to end my coachella tenure on a high note

The headliners from the last 3 years now really make me not want to imagine the demographics of Coachella at this point.

Isn't Gambino gonna be on the final stretch of his final tour? Seems like that'll be a pretty big deal.
