CoS had the headliners early the last few years so I think it's legit

Eminem at Roo several years back was probably my least favorite headlining set I've seen at a large fest. Have fun, guys!

i mean it's not worth explaining coachella scheduling logistics to everyone again but w/e
real happy with 2 of those and im sure there will be something decent (ie literally anything, even the beer barn or catching an early and empty shuttle back to PS) during Em. hopefully sunday.
definitely concerned where that puts them fiscally for the undercard tho.

I was listening to the new Eminem album the other day amd during the songs that featured P!nk and X-Ambassadors I was thinking it would be really cool if Coachella got him because Marshall is making really vital music in 2018.

I'm not sure I agree with that because in theory - although I love Bey - her absence would've allowed for a rock headlinder and a more balanced trio.

I'm really surprised by The Weeknd, but not by anything else. Also, I don't know this is as expensive as you guys are saying. Last year was planned to be Radiohead / Beyonce, and I don't think that Radiohead is that much cheaper than Eminem. Same with the year before, we were worried about the undercard given how expensive the GnR reunion was rumored to be, and the lineup was great. I don't imagine the LCD reunion was that cheap either, and Calvin is pretty damn expensive too.

Also, not sure I've seen such a universally negative online reaction to a set of headliners. There's always a level of negativity, but reading through the boards etc., everyone seems pretty down on this (understandably so). I'm still planning on going ... but the undercard had better give me some David Byrne, Massive Attack and Bjork. If it's not stacked I'll definitely be selling my tickets.

previously, Eminem was one of the most expensive acts out there to get. so it's not so much that RH is cheap, just that they weren't THAT expensive.
but if Slim is doing #allthefests next year he might have a deal for a lower asking price.

idk i bet outkast got paid that year.
the festivals listed so far are all pretty big too. firefly could be an aeg combo with coachella. gov ball books big acts, and since last year boston calling does too. eminem is probably a big draw for boston frat boys and worth every penny there. looks like em hasn't been to massachusetts in over 10 years. i bet he's getting paid.
