MLB.tv was super cheap this weekend, so now I've got that for the remainder of the season. I got to watch the final few innings of Monday's game.

Lucas Giolito was awesome last night. 6ip, 5h, 1er, 2bb, 11k
Keith Law has been saying that the Sox have had to make a lot of mechanical changes to undo the damage the Nationals did to him, so it looks that's paying off since he's been really good for a month now.
2.57 ERA over his last 5 starts (28ip, 23h, 8er, 9bb, 25k)

Ugh....Hendricks to the DL with tendinitis. Not good with how bad the starting pitching has been this season. I do like Montgomery, but it'll hurt not having him in the bullpen.
Heading up to my first game of the season at Wrigley tonight though. Excited to see all the renovations outside the park

One of the top pitching prospects in the upcoming MLB Draft is a sex offender - he plead guilty when he was 15 to molesting a 6 year old family member. It was only made public after he missed a mandatory check-in.

I irrationally love the MLB draft so much more than the other pro drafts. Probably because the guys are so far out and the bust rate is so high, yet every guy is going to be hyped as "teh next Urrun Judge!$!"

went to the yankees-orioles game yesterday. other than the fact that it was absurdly hot (saw multiple people getting attended to by paramedics for heat exhaustion/dehydration), was a great game to be at. sanchez hit one out, judge hit two out (including an absolute moon shot). this team is so much fun.

Albers and Turner are currently blowing saves for the Nationals and I have no idea how a Robertson deal hasn't happened yet.

Same. Have you seen anything about what the Sox would want? Maybe the Nats are worried about the Sox winning the WS in three years with an entire team of former Nats prospects.

Here's what was offered initially:
The Nationals, according to executives with direct knowledge of the deal, were to send 19-year-old left-hander Jesus Luzardo and minor league infielder Drew Ward to the White Sox for Robertson, with the White Sox eating about half of the $25 million remaining in his contract. But the deal got hung up over money.
I guess Luzardo is injured, so he'd be out. Also that deal was offered without knowing how Robertson would fare this season, and he's bounced back pretty well. I'd think if the Sox still pick up part of his contract they probably have a better chance of getting more of a return.
