31 stolen bases on 31 attempts is a remarkable stat.

some Cubs went to meet Trump today because the Ricketts family is trash and apparently Cavs owner Dan Gilbert turned up for it because the Cubs being in the room with one super incompetent billionaire isn't enough

I'm not sure why you would bring him back before the break, but I don't really mind. It doesn't seem like the Sox are gonna have to try too hard to tank this one.

Hopefully he can stay healthy for the rest of the year. I love watching him pitch and I think he has a genuine chance to be a star (assuming his changeup keeps improving).

Amazed they were able to tread water this long marching out Pelphrey, Holmberg and Covey for so many starts. They broke their bullpen, too.

Welp that first inning sucked, but Rodon's been fine since and his velocity looks great. Hopefully he has command of his slider next time.

How many more 9th inning leads do the Nats need to blow before their ownership approves that David Robertson trade?

I'm personally rooting for at least three more, circa early August.

Moncada has been on fire in his last 15 games. Looks like he's fully recovered from that thumb injury:
.310/.429/.552 with 3HR, 12bb/16k, 3 stolen bases
Futures Game is July 9th so I would expect a callup shortly after that.

Also, MLB.tv is currently $20.17 for the rest of the season.

Yeah mid-July makes sense. I was hoping he'd get called up by next weekend so I could see his debut here in Denver, but doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Still would like to see Moncada cut down on the Ks

Still would like to see Moncada cut down on the Ks Eh I'm not that concerned. Fangraphs projects him to have a 10% walk rate and a 30% strikeout rate in the majors this year. Here's a list of players currently doing that: Khris Davis Miguel Sano Chris Davis Joey Gallo He can still be a valuable player at a very young age even with that many strikeouts.

Lopez put together a nice statline for Charlotte:
6.2 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 11 K, 1 HR
I bet he's the first pitcher called up. Overall pitching at the minor league level is looking more encouraging with the exception of Fulmer being trash for the last two months.

The stupid White Sox/Yankees game started at 11pm Eastern last night following a rain delay which totally ruined my nightly Seinfeld fix.

I bet Lopez and Giolito are both called up after the all-star break. I'd like to see Carson Fulmer called up and put in the bullpen too. I've given up any hope of him being a major league starting pitcher.

Just messing around, I was able to pull up 2 tickets to the all-star game in Miami. $280.00 each. I remember trying to get tickets when the ASG was in KC and it was impossible.

Congrats to Avi Garcia on being named an All Star. Surprised the Cubs only got one player in as well, Wade Davis.

Sadly, not that surprising, though Bryant is in the final vote.

A pitcher who is currently 9-0 with a 1.83 ERA on a team who has the best record in the NL did NOT get selected to the All Star game. WTF.
