Honestly, I'm pretty stoked for the What If.. series. Loved that comic growing up. Also pleased with a Black Widow movie and a Hawkeye show. Ali as Blade should be fun too. I know nothing about the Externals or Shang Chi but I'm all in regardless, especially for the real Mandarin. Another Dr Strange was expected but wheres Black Panther 2? Disappointed we didn't get anything about FF tho. The logo for the Hawkeye show looks like the one from the Matt Fraction run. Bring pizza dog to the series, cowards.

Biggest news is Blade w / Mahershala. Cautiously optimistic if they can convince the Mouse to make a real Blade

Pretty sure Hawkeye is gonna be young daughter of Hawkeye kids/teen show. Okay... somewhat sure.
I'm excited about What If, too. I am looking forward to all of it. Still need a little more cool off from the last FF movie, 'cause they gotta do Doctor Doom right (which they will).

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the best title ever. Thor Love and Thunder is the worst title ever but i assume Waititi is aware of that and purposely leaning into the absurd (curious if Portman will stick around for more than 1 film this time)
Ali as Blade is such a good fucking choice. sucks that these will all be PG-13 still but hopefully a good director can still make them badass.
i dont know what an Eternals is, and as big as the cast for it is, i dont have faith that it wont be Inhumans-level bad. absolutely no one on the panel could explain what it was or what their characters are

Apparently the Eternals have been around a long time, and Thanos is technically one. But yeah I can't find anyone who knows a thing about them outside of that.
But if this studio could make a Guardians franchise I think they can do something decent with this.

The more obscure, the better. Who's the director again?
...
Directed by Chloé Zhao Writing Credits (in alphabetical order) Matthew K. Firpo ... (screenplay) Ryan Firpo ... (screenplay)
I'm familiar with none of their other works.

Marvel's talent scouting has been absolutely top notch, trust them fully in that department now.
Conversely never trusting DC after they thought Zach Snyder was a good choice to give the most creative control to

"Sony proposed keeping the arrangement similar to the terms that dictated the first two Spider-Man MCU films, such that Disney would only receive 5% of first dollar gross. Disney refused that deal"
LOL good luck sony

Yeah, Disney should have been the one to give some ground. Sony can still make a Spiderman movie and make money, maybe not as much money but it'll make money. I know Disney probably put more creatively into the movies and I get why they'd want more of the profits, but they also aren't the ones funding the movies and I gotta think the net benefit of having the character in the MCU has got to be worth it. Not to mention potential confusion if/when Sony makes a Spiderman movie that's not part of the MCU

Sony made Spiderverse on their own without any involvement from Feige and the groundwork is already there for the sequels to the live action movies so I'm sure they'll be fine. 50/50 split plus access to the other characters is absurd so I don't blame Sony for walking away.

Also Disney already gets all of the profit from merchandising so wtf.

It makes perfect sense for Sony to do this, and Marvel was kinda dumb for thinking they'd take 50/50 split like that. Feige probably thought that back in 2016 when they made the deal that Sony would be begging for him to take over, but instead they took total advantage of the situation. They've got Tom Holland signed for 2 more movies, and the same director of the first 2, plus one of the producers from FFH. Sony will be just fine, it just sucks b/c it hurts the MCU from a fan standpoint.

Apparently negotiations are ongoing still. One of the two sides (probably Disney) definitely leaked this to strong arm the other one
