Sam Raimi is going to take over as the director for Doctor Strange 2 holy fucking shit that's the best news was already insanely pumped for Doctor Strange + Scarlet Witch in a Lovecraft story but now it's just ridiculous **the first Doctor Strange is also my favorite MCU movie, dont @ meedit: hmmm apparently Sctt Derrickson left over creative differences and i like most of his films so that's a bummer

That's awesome.
On a side note, the teasers for the Disney+ shows were good, tho I'm surprisingly most interested now in WandaVision.

I'm very into Wandavision and very sold on all the MCU TV Shows if they are going to be as high quality as this Ep 4 spoilers I was a bit worried they would ignore the consequences of the snap and blip after Endgame but between this and Far From Home they clearly aren't and that makes me happy. I also didn't expect the show to get as meta as it did and honestly I liked it a lot. Excited to see where this goes from here

I thought episode 4 was a pastiche/parody of horse shit alien invasion 90s movies but than realized that it was serious lmao.

I really impressed with Elizabeth Olsen. Her acting at the end of Ep 3 and the additional scenes set in that same time in Ep 4 are great.

yeah i'm v into the show. i actually really enjoyed the first 3 episodes being totally immersed in the weird stuff and barely showing us a glimpse of what's actually going on. this week was fun and nice to have context but i feel now it's gonna be a more standard Marvel style going forward which is a shame cause i wanted to see them stick to the Decades format. hopefully gets really dark tho and Wanda goes full baddy for Multiverse of Madness. my pet theory is that Dotty is actually Mephisto who made a deal with Wanda to bring Vision back and is slowly manipulating her to turn baddie

Theres definitely a lot of speculation there will be a Full House episode and even that there will be a mockumentary Office style episode

It's a great episode, best of the season IMO. i've really enjoyed how it's slowly crept from unsettling (some people were reading the first episode or two as a comedy which i never got) to just straight up twilight zone horror at this point. they're doing a great job with the mystery aspect too. for how dumb captain falcon + winter soldier will probably be, i'm glad we're getting a straight up wildcard show like this first and then Loki right after. as much as i like the idea of Wanda just being totally grief-stricken and going batshit, i'm assuming Hayward is probably a Hydra guy or is tied into another villain like Mephisto who set this all in action before what we see in the show, and Wanda is either being manipulated or is trying to protect her and Vision from something worse.
either way it makes total sense now why the next Doctor Strange is gonna be a horror and feature Wanda in some capacity. DUELING MAGICK BABAY

Truly not trying to be a dick I genuinely would like to watch the show that you guys are watching and not the one they are mistakenly putting on my disney+ account instead.

i guess i'm not sure what's to dislike about it? also genuinely not trying to be a dick! like i agree with your comment a week or two ago where it would've been more unique and interesting to keep the later episodes more like the first 3 where we're trapped in the tv show with W+V and we're trying to figure out wtf is going on. but we knew they were gonna have to explain everything for the audience at some point cause it's a Marvel thing. as far as adding context to both W+V and the real world post-blip, i think they're doing a mostly great job and making me care about what happens next. (the 80's drone thing was dumb af but clearly was just meant to show that Hayward is a POS so w/e) also i mean the ending of this episode was just meant to establish that we're getting the X-Men so i'm not gonna pretend like that's not super exciting even tho it'll probably make everything way more confusing than it needs to be

It's fun. I view each movie/series as like its own graphic novel, with its own unique art style and interpretation. I like some of them less than others. This one definitely started off like a dark comedy. They are drawing from multiple comic series and doing a pretty alright job mashing it together. Did Monica Rambeau just shrug off someone seeing evidence of her secret super powers?! I mean, that was implied a couple times in this episode, was it not?

Does anyone really want to see another Wolverine movie with not Hugh Jackman? Does anyone think there is somehow not enough superheroes in the MCU? Is there anybody out there thinking 'I need to see Bryan Singer's vision played out" Beyond that, the 2 broke girls and Parks quips are just Joss Whedon sliding into the dms of a 16 year old girl level embarrassing and brutal and the pacing of the sitcom stuff once it has moved away from "Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen having fun" is slower than almost anything I've ever seen on tv and not in a good way as there is absolutely no tension whatsoever. No characters have motivations that make any sense. If thousands of people have bene kidnapped by Wanda they should be working to save them not just observing or whatever. Its like they established that the stakes are thousands of people could die and nobody cares except 'the villain'. It reminds of of man of steel when superman keeps dodging attacks and buildings are just crumbling around them except you could at least argue that Zach Snyder was trying to make a stupid point there and this is just lazy as shit. All of this is excusable if its entertaining which it isn't! Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olson (when she's not doing the Russian accent Jesus Christ) and Kathryn Hahn are great actors and they are doing their absolute best with maybe the least amount of material ever. It's so frustrating! It's like they greenlit a fun idea and than said "now eat your slop you little piggies"
