I think 89 is my fave year still but the 78 shows are definitely underrated.

78 definitely gets overshadowed by the Spring 77 run. Just put the 4/22/78 show on for the morning. Just an amazing setlist.
Looking forward to checking out the 93 show this Friday. I've never really gotten into the 90's.

94-95 is pretty rough, Jerry was barely alive up there. Still a good smattering of shows from 90-93 though

Listening to this one today, 4/24/78 - found out after I started that it was also a Dave's Picks. Dude must also really like 78. I'm like 2/3 through and it's pretty solid so far, highlight was absolutely the band teasing "Stayin' Alive" before Me and My Uncle, but then Keith keeps playing the SA riff throughout lmaoo. The Music Never Stopped and Scarlet > Fire are great too, especially the former, but the band - namely Mickey and Bill - were tighter on the 4/22 show I posted about earlier this week. Might check out that 93 show this afternoon, since I don't think I'll be free to watch the stream tonight.

Run back through this one in prep for the 36FTV screening of Sunshine Daydream tonight. This is one of the GOATs for a reason, goddamn.

Quick pulse check: pretty sure I'm gonna cue a show up Saturday cause the weather will be so nice. Trying to get outta the late 70s to mix it up a bit since I keep going back to them on my big dead playlist. Options are the following:
6/20/91 3/20/90 9/21/72 4/17/69
Open to other options as well not in the late 70s but those are on the table. I'm leaning towards an early 90s since it's been a while since I touched on that

It's the 50th anniversary of the Dead's show at Harpur College, more commonly known as Dicks Picks Vol 8. I am declaring a national holiday and giving everyone the day off work to listen

Starting 5/4/77 right now! Trying to do a lil project following along the May 77 shows by day while I finish up my finals projects and then, later this week, start reading Long Strange Trip. Excited to formulate my very-own "xx May 77 show was better than Cornell" oldhead opinion!

Apparently my friendgroup is doing a 5/8/77 listening party tomorrow. Once I get that link I'll share with ya if you want to join us. Going to be a Friday night thing and he's inviting some deadhead redditors (shudders)

I bought a shirt from TourBus and they ship it in a nice little box with an old tape from a Grateful Dead show. I got 10/31/70 and I'm excited to listen
