Apparently my friendgroup is doing a 5/8/77 listening party tomorrow. Once I get that link I'll share with ya if you want to join us. Going to be a Friday night thing and he's inviting some deadhead redditors (shudders) I did not share this link because I ended up putting this together. Probably had 15 people doing a group listen. Good fun! We'll probably try to do it again in a few weeks: Dick's Picks 3 from the same 77 run in Florida is coming up and seemed people wanted to vibe to that |

All of the fare thee well shows are being streamed back to back today. The first one just started. Was anyone at these shows? Yes, with board-adjacent The Todd. A few days earlier I had adopted a nine-month-old kitten but I wasn't sure if it was a good fit as I had never had a cat before and I was periodically breaking out into hives when she would sleep on my chest. I decided if they played "Althea" I would keep her and name her that and sure enough on night 3 it happened. Memorable shows for sure, one night we drank Heady Topper in the lot and another night there was a huge red moon. Man such a scramble to get tickets too. We didn't have them in hand until a few hours before doors. Both of us got skunked in the onsale and mail in, then played the secondary market but couldn't find anything solid except on StubHub. Lots of fakes. |
