I had oatmeal and cranberries for breakfast. Never grew fond of oatmeal - I usually got for either a granola bar, or for a piece of fresh baguette with gruyere or emmenthal cheese #You can take a girl out of Europe but not Europe out of the girl

I usually go very light on condiments. Mayo can be good, but I'm team mustard, for sure.

Oh hey, since this is the travel thread: 1. I'm going to Portland, OR next week...meeting up with a friend who lives there. I've never been. 2. I booked my train tickets for Riot Fest weekend. Super pumped. Probably the most non-punk rock thing to do ever: I also booked tickets to see a taping of NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell me for that Thursday. We'll be staying in the West Loop and are thinking of hitting up the new Kuma's before then (We did Au Cheval last year). Has anything new and exciting popped up around that neighborhood since last year?

I know I asked on the old board, but that's gone now, and I'm actually going to start booking things:
Denver food and activity recommendations for my honeymoon? Our airbnb is by Dailey Park, but we'll have a car.

It's really small, too - I think they have about 25 seats in the place, but it's not too difficult to get reservations with all of the other restaurants arriving on the scene in the last couple years. I can send you a very long list of recommendations via PM if you want.

Also you're just west of the Baker neighborhood which has a ton of great bars/breweries and new restaurants popping up. Good spot.

Super laid back and delicious. Their fancy half next door is incredible, too, if you're looking for something like that while you're here and like seafood.

Making a trip to Crested Butte in about a month. By far my favorite mountain town in Colorado, and hopefully we'll get a chance to go to Maroon Bells this time, too.

We have to postpone our Israel trip to May because I am very dumb and didn't know I needed a passport 6 months in advance of our trip

Wait I'm confused too, you don't need a visa to go to Israel. Unless you mean you have one that expires in less than six months so you need to renew it?

Or do you mean six months of validity beyond your date of entry? State Department says six months of validity beyond your date of entry. If your passport is expiring soon, you can renew it and get it back within a week. Maybe even same day.

Hmmm it appears I am even dumber than I thought. I misread the 6 month rule and thought I needed to have had a valid passport for 6 months beforehand (I've never had one before).
Thank you all for the info

No need one for Israel. Also, they no longer stamp your passport when you get there by plane, only if you cross the border by land (e.g. coming from Petra in Jordan). Which is handy when you then want to visit one of the trillion of countries that won't allow you in if you've got an Israeli stamp

I really wish I wasn't so broke when I was living in Kentucky. Never visited Atlanta, Charleston, Asheville or pretty much anywhere outside of Louisville/Lexington.
