It's not quite as good as the Fins video but I would encourage everyone to watch this
This record isn't exactly one of my favorites, but for some reason I keep coming back & enjoying it.

This is probably in my bottom 3, but I really enjoy the first 2 tracks. The James Taylor cover is fun too.

I think this is his worst album to date, a lot of songs here that I actively dislike.
Fortunately it’s not worth writing off entirely: “False Echoes (Havana 1921)” is quite pretty & feels almost completely unique to anything of his thus far

Well this is certainly a stage play, I would stretch to even call this a Jimmy Buffett album. He probably sings on less than half of this, and “Island Fever” may be the only song that can stand on it own.
“Kinja Rules” is more Dr. Zaius than Dr. Zaius

This album apparently isn't on Apple Music for some reason? Had to go to Spotify.

I wouldn't exactly call this a good record ("Math Suks" is exactly what you think it is), but after the past 2 records it feels like a palette cleanser.
"I Will Play For Gumbo" and "Permanent Reminder of a Temporary Feeling" are fun.

Guys I’m so behind, but I plan to listen to 4 or 5 Buffett albums today. First up of which is Changes in Lattitude. The strength in this album is the return to simplicity. He’s chilled out on having each arrangement having the most, while still having a lot. Quiet, mellow, sad but also chill. The muse here seems to be more in escape than ‘vacation’ which is what I assume changes over time. Can see why a lot of the country guys attempted this sound in the late 70/, the delivery method is perfect.

Tfw your in the middle of an interminable ballad and the next songs are called “cowboy in the jungle” and “African friend”

Manana was a good song. Back half definitely stronger than the front half. African Friend was appropriately bizarre

I think most of the negative connotations towards buffet’s music can be traced directly to Volcano. Even Stranded at the Sandbar which is familiar confident territory has a sanded down feeling to it.
