Apparently Ethel Kennedy was still alive? There’s probably only like three living Ethels in total.

She was a beast on the tennis court; if you weren’t rocking a $300 Bruline, you had no chance.

Ka passed away at 52. It was rumored over the weekend, and I guess it was true. Another gut punch and another underground legend gone too soon. RIP.

I just learned that Drake Hogestyn died recently. Most notably, he played John Black opposite Deirdre Hall's Marlena Evans on Days of Our Lives. I feel blessed to have been a regular viewer during the " Lady in A Cage" era.

Actress Mitzi Gaynor died today at age 93. Used to get Time magazine, and they once did a big cover article about her long career, but I couldn't find a link to it in a web search.

I was totally obsessed with baseball history when I was a kid, and my favorite two pitchers to read about / watch clips of were Bob Gibson and Fernando. Fucking sucks that they're both gone now. Gonna be rooting even harder for the Dodgers in the WS.

That's a bummer. I remember having no concept of time when I was a kid, and I was really confused how Valenzuela was still pitching in the 90s. I thought he was like 80 years old since I assumed Fernandomania was around WW2.

my dad and i saw fernando at dodger stadium in 2013 or 2014. he was talking with a family with young kids outside the entrance to the press box. my dad's a huge dodger fan and i absolutely imitated fernando's wind-up in the backyard many times. we loitered for a bit hoping to get a photo with him after he was done chatting. but he chatted and then popped into the box.
