criticizing a politician is shitting on veterans? this is some kneeling in the nfl level shit. No, it's not. Focusing on everything you don't like and all the negative shit on the day of his death is some pretty entitled bullshit though.

When it comes to those who have decided the fates of millions, they are open to criticism.
He has my respect for his service as a vet and POW. He has my disdain and disgust for his service in office.

More than 30 people have been honored by lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda, a gesture reserved for the country’s “most eminent citizens,” since the practice began in 1852 after the death of Henry Clay, the former House speaker and senator from Kentucky. Mr. McCain would be the 13th former senator to be granted the honor, according to the Architect of the Capitol.
Well this seems excessive.

When you serve at that level, the best judgment of your character is your voting record. His doesn’t stand up. RIP, but he didn’t act in his constituents’ or country’s best interests. All of this and let’s not forget that he choose Sarah Palin to be his Vice President. That was a real responsible and patriotic decision !

I want to see the receipts on this. Also, sometimes you make a mistake that fucks up the political climate of an entire country for a fucking generation and that makes people not like you very much.

What Tweet said, it's literally in his book. Picking Sarah Palin as his running mate for an election that he did not win did not fuck up the political climate of the entire country.

The wit and wisdom of the late John McCain:
"Why is [then 18-year-old] Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno!"

I dono this is a pretty good joke but when his wife made a joke about his thinning hair and he yelled at her “At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.” in front of a bunch of reporters? That's just some good humor. He should be remembered really as the Rickles of racist war mongerers!

Reminder that his last official act as a public servant was declining, despite being unable to work, to resign and trigger a special election, so that his Trump-supporting governor could appoint a Trump-supporting senator who'll serve for two full years.

I said multiple times he was not perfect, and did plenty I disagreed with. He also did lots of good with his life, but you prefer to ignore that. Why do you think so many on both sides of the aisle have offered their praise and condolences? Many included whom I'm guessing you all have voted for and respect.

It's not only focusing on the negative but it's bullshit that he is seen as a national hero given his shameful political record. Him being a pow does not excuse or eclipse the four decades of his political career. And because they kinda have to? That's how politics work?

He didn't want to take away insurance from millions, what a great guy!!! no he 100% did. was an extremely vocal opponent of the ACA well repealing and voting against it to begin with are different, can't take away insurance that they never had. but you're right, iirc for him the repeal was less about wanting it to stay and more of the lack of a substitute, that and him trying to put on a show

A divided country (and broken, archaic voting system) is what allowed Trump to be elected.

Christ imagine the bullshit we're going to have to endure when Henry Kissinger dies. had an argument about this last night. Don't think it will be that bad. You'll get fawning accounts from the Clinton camp and Republicans, alot of silence elsewhere. the media has been feeding morons the idea that despite mccain being evil and wrong about every single thing he's ever done or said he is somehow good, K-dawg is more evil but it has been more behind the scenes. People has more of a passing knowledge so u wont get people who are willing to look past everything he ever did because he killed thousands of civilians at a soap factory.
