Weirdly stressful to have to think of a theme, but I can do this. Is 2018 a theme? Seems fitting given that it's the end of the year.

Yeah I know, but that doesn't mean I won't stress out about a theme before I eventually cave and go that route.

Slow week at work. I have a rough draft playlist already set for this. Going to "live with it" for a while and see how I like it, but it is probably 90% set.

I think I'm just about done with mine, too. Should we maybe pin this thread?

Do people prefer to have these due on a specific date, where we all post on 1/1? Or would people like the freedom to post throughout a week-long period? I don't know how much it helps or hurts other than it keeps the thread active for a little while longer each month while some of this is discussed.
Open to thoughts!

I'm fine having people post early if they're ready to make the playlist public.

I don't mind that idea either.
Is there any sense to keeping it within a window of days?

I'm going to have to post early, as I won't be back from vacation until 1/02.

Alright, I don't see any real harm in opening up the floor if people are ready to post lists. Let 'em rip! You've got until 1/1 to finish up!

I’ll post mine in a bit, should be done here All the songs have horns in them and I couldn't get the WW quote out of my head - but, also, there are several songs on there that are at least peripherally about fucking, so.

Hot HeadFor: goodson Ok, so the initial theme of this was desire, and I still think that's the central theme, but it got a little horny in there for which I won't apologize. As stated in the songs thread, this was largely inspired by Bruce Springsteen's "I'm on Fire". I love that it isn't particularly graphic but it still maintains an intensity, a strength. When I showed my wife this playlist she asked "Did you make goodson a fuck playlist?" and the answer is: not intentionally, but I guess kinda when you really listen to it or whatever so my bad. I think all these songs have a particularly sexy sound to them all around. The playlist builds to a loud grand finale, which I now realize could be called a climax, oops lol. Anyways, I will probably choose a less horny theme next time so sorry goodson. I also chose a cover and a remix because I love the sound that both of them have and I think it fits the best for this playlist. 1. Nude- Radiohead 2. Fever- Elvis Presley 3. The Everlasting Muse- Belle and Sebastian 4. I'm on Fire- Bruce Springsteen 5. Lover, You Should've Come Over- Jeff Buckley 6. Physical- Juliana Hatfield (orig. Olivia Newton John) 7. Dirty Mind- Prince 8. In My Feelings- Lana Del Rey 9. Stay the Night- The Internet 10. Pyramids- Frank Ocean 11. Pony- Ginuwine 12. Sexual Healing (Kygo Remix)- Marvin Gaye

This next bunch of songs goes out to monasterymonochrome.
I used to make mix CD's, back when people did those things. I had a favorite one, which I wanted to recreate. Unfortunately, Spotify doesn't have everything. So here's some songs from that favorite mix CD, coupled with some other tunes I've been hitting the replay button on lately.
General Experimix #1
1. Depeche Mode - I Feel You 2. Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You 3. Luscious Jackson - Daughters of the Kaos 4. Deus - Suds and Soda 5. Soul Coughing - Down to This 6. Goo Goo Dolls - Lazy Eye 7. Lauren Christy - Breed 8. Deerhoof - The Trouble With Candyhands 9. Caravan Palace - Clash 10. Oasis - Angel Child (Demo) 11. Jim Carroll Band - People Who Died 12. Eminem and Redman - Off the Wall 13. Love and Rockets - No New Tale to Tell
