This mix is called "Bottom of the chvrchbarrel" Basically, I looked at some of the board's most beloved artists, and plucked their single worst performing song on Spotify. There's some caveats here though, like with Sufjan his lowest performing was an instrumental that was just noise. And no original compositions from Radiohead were that embarrassing but wait till you hear this "remix." I tried to avoid remixes otherwise but some artists just perform too well I guess. Peep the tracklist and total # of streams below. 1. Kanye West / Chops - Changing Lanes (10,726) 2. Arcade Fire - Vampires/Forest Fire (334,312) 3. Radiohead / Lvtum - Estupefacto (8,494) 4. Aphex Twin w/ The Mike Flowers Pops - Debase (25,408) 5. Kendrick Lamar / Smoke Dza - How Far We Go (Uptown 81) (177,124) 6. Green Day & Iggy Pop - Supermarket (78,636) 7. R.E.M. - Tighten Up (37,128) 8. The White Stripes - Hand Springs (99,074) 9. Vampire Weekend - Jonathan Low (150,341) 10. Animal Collective - Monkey Been to Burn Town [Traxman Teklife Remix] (13,937) 11. Wilco - James Alley Blues [Live] (35,045) 12. Father John Misty w/ Gambles - Forever We'll Be (244,166) 13. Sufjan Stevens - The Owl and the Tanager (32,259) 14. LCD Soundsystem - North American Scum [Kris Menace Remix] (18,883) 15. The National - The Geese of Beverly Road [Live] (229,6490

Maybe I'm being lame but I do think we should wait until a certain day to post.
It's like Christmas. We should all give out our presents together.

I've been doing some thinking about this thread and maybe widening the window to post would actually help. It's sort of a bummer for all of our conversation to happen in a 2-3 day span, once a month.
I do prefer getting to share on a specific day, but I don't see a way around it keeping the thread sort of...dead.

I'm super into rules (look at my list tabulating that 80% adhered to) so if we are wanting to make an official stance on it, that's not a prob. I just thought since this thread goes weeks without activity, why not post my mix and maybe get some discussion going? I didn't realize neader would overreact so harshly.

In defense of neader I believe he's really just messing around - however, I am also in favor of "rules" The purpose of having a day where everyone posts, is to give everyone the exact same amount of time and not feel rushed. If we say that playlists are ok to post between the 15th thru the end of the month, I think it will inspire more discussion and keep the thread active. Willing to try this for the rest of this month, and amend if people find another, better way!

This was a good reminder to put a little bit of time into mine today, so that was good. Also why does everyone read neader's posts as so angry? lol

This playlist is for pigs ! I have no idea what kind of music you enjoy outside of Modest Mouse and Boards of Canada, so hopefully you actually like this selection. I did include a Modest Mouse song! Anyway, when I was thinking of a theme for this playlist, there was a bunch of space-related news coming out, so obviously I went with a space theme. Only a couple of obvious ones on here that I wanted to included just because. 1. Beach House - Space Song 2. Modest Mouse - Space Travel Is Boring 3. Ash - Girl From Mars 4. Pixies - Allison 5. Gorillaz - Every Planet We Reach Is Dead 6. Echo & The Bunnymen - The Killing Moon 7. David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust 8. The Cure - Jupiter Crash 9. Radiohead - Sail To The Moon 10. Portishead - Wandering Star 11. The Church - Under The Milky Way 12. Ballboy - Under The Clouds The Sun Is Always Shining

This playlist is for neader Calm down, I know it is early. One of the things I associate with neader is his Bloc Party fandom. I enjoyed Silent Alarm quite a bit when it came out and also liked a few of their other early singles. This got me thinking about the mid-aughts and how much British music I listened to. Was big into woxy.com back then and they played quite a bit of stuff from across the pond. So this playlist is comprised of songs by British artists released somewhere around the time of Kele and Ko's first 3 albums. I give you: Ain't no Party Like a Bloc Party 1. Bloc Party vs. Death From Above 1979 - Luno 2. The Futureheads - Stupid and Shallow 3. Little Man Tate - Sexy in Latin 4. The Fratellis - Stacie Anne 5. Dogs Die in Hot Cars - Lounger 6. New Young Pony Club - Ice Cream 7. Maximo Park - Apply Some Pressure 8. Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Beat That My Heart Skipped 9. Basement Jaxx, Dizzee Rascal - Lucky Star 10. M.I.A. - Galang 11. Kasabian - Processed Beats 12. Does It Offend You, Yeah? - We Are Rockstars 13. The Whip - Trash 14. Editors - Lights 15. Klaxons - Golden Skans 16. Kaiser Chiefs - Oh My God
