Newport used to be ok because nobody was ever there and it was cheap but it closed probably for those reasons it closed because capital one bank wanted to put its combined bank / cafe on the corner. |

Having never been to Elizabeth I can't comment on their usual stuff but fucking up a Twin Peaks meal seems especially embarrassing because half of that show is referencing foods and scents.

For sure. The service when we were there was on point.
They ran a sale on tickets a couple of weeks ago so we're going to the Harvest menu, too, and their Alice and Wonderland one in October.

I feel like the meals there are generally paced pretty slowly, but half an hour per course is more than I remember.

I have family in town, and all of us had a pretty late lunch, so I stopped by the grocery store and put together a charcuterie board, which is my fave thing to do. Turned out great and I can't wait to try it again with more items and more people.

I went to Bonci because I was at a engagement party in the West Loop at a place I couldn't afford the food and they had a marinated onion, pecorino, pesto tomato pizza that was one of the best I've ever had and a super underwhelming spicy eggplant and a margerita bite that was fine. Probably better 4 meat eaters |

Tomorrow is the day.. 5-course dinner +wine pairing by the country's top 20 chefs (divided by regions.. not sure yet which one of the 5 I'll get).. all that sitting right in front of our city's Parliament as part of a 1km-long table (they are closing the whole road for this purpose)

pork shoulder, heirloom tomatoes, curry wings, mackeral hush puppies, and pickle bread from Publican Anker friday. smoked pork hash from bite cafe for brunch, followed by fried chicken sandwich and oysters, plus key lime bang bang pie, from Parson's on saturday night. it was a good weekend for noms  |
