The back of that chair is so low it gives me anxiety. At least in that picture.

The back of that chair is so low it gives me anxiety. At least in that picture. Man, idk, I'm pretty tall and it just hits me perfectly at mid-back. But that's me. Also my home office doubles as our guest room so I wanted to have more of a "soft furnishings" feel as opposed to a more classic/industrial looking office chair, so it works in the space. Honestly did not have high hopes for it for $100 or whatever it cost but it's worked out great.

It’s wildly uncomfortable, the back is too low even though I am of average height. I do have a big ass but I also have a slight issue where I sit at my desk with the posture of a Neanderthal which is not conducive to the shape/size of the chair

It does look nice though I can’t deny that. And it’s primarily a chair for my wife, who loves it so it doesn’t really matter what I think about it lol

My dude needs a new desk chair as well and I actually have an extra one of these and I asked if he wanted it and he was also vehemently opposed, so idk. Something about it I guess.

Just bought some Bose headphones that were on sale. I've been using Apple AirPods and have been having issues with the fit, so I'm kind of psyched to switch back to an over the ear version.

Why do you hate it? It is the most comfortable chair I've had in 25+ years of office work. I suspect the answer has to do with having hips and a big ole booty but that's just a guess. i need arms.

Lisa is anti-arms, too. Do. Not. Get. It.
That's like being anti-chair since you already have a butt.

the aeron will be a beautiful cradle for his slender frame Confirming this to be the case. However I wish it had a lock on its wheels. Longer I stay in this apartment I realize how many shortcuts the landlords took, up to and including my office not being level. Just have to keep reminding myself they'll all get the guillotine one day.

Anyone have a waterproof phone case that they like? I'm going canoeingggg Do you have an older phone that isn’t waterproof/resistant? I think most phones manufactured in the past few years are rated to take a dunk no problem. Maybe the cheap way to go is a baggie? Otherwise, I’d maybe look at Otterbox for a waterproof option.

OK I had no idea this was a thing but apparently my phone is rated to IP68 and can be submerged for 30 minutes without damage. Still, I've had it a while and don't know if the seals are intact so I'd rather not chance it, but maybe I will just put it in a baggie or keep it in my drybag.

Dust might soak if it falls in and it’s easier to get into the hardware and jack the phone up. Happened to my sister a few years ago

Is anyone partial to a certain brand/line of candles?
I have been getting the 3-wick candles at Target for $17ish I think, which seems fair if not slightly cheap. Very happy with the price point, less happy with the scent options. They all just seem kinda similar/plain in a way I can't really describe. Helpful, I know.

Edgewater Candles are the go-to, Boy Smells for a splurge (although they last forever and smell up the place a lot in a good way).

The guy who runs Edgewater is genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met in this city too. We did a candle making class with them back in October which is really fun too- if y'all need date options for an evening would highly recommend.

Boy Smells are almost too strongly perfumed for me? I tried a bunch from Bright Black and those were also super strong but very unpleasant/chemical smelling. I think Edgewater are just okay. My latest fave is from Forestdale - super clean smelling and not too strong, it's also a side hustle of pedal steel guy Luke Schneider, his incense is great too.

Really fun time and I loved having my own candles. I did a tomato and champagne combo that worked really well.
