1.) Anderson 2.) Moncada 3.) Grandal 4.) Encarnacion 5.) Abreu 6.) Jimenez 7.) Mazara 8.) Robert 9.) Madrigal
This is the best Sox lineup on paper in 200 years

I would take 2006 over that lineup as well. It's possible Robert and Madrigal break out and realize their full potential but I don't think that should be assumed.

In this projection, I am assuming Madrigal hits .350 and Robert wins MVP

Still can't believe that 2006 team didn't make the playoffs. Gives me hope for this team overachieving and surprising the AL Central this year, because the Sox were the clear class of that division in 2006 and were in a dogfight for the entire year.

Most excited I've been for a White Sox team in a long time.

I might be doing that, too. It's a cheap flight from Denver.

Nats signed Will Harris to a 3/24 deal, and the Padres re-signed Craig Stammen, 2/9. The Sox still need bullpen help and options are dwindling. Of who is left I'd like to see them bring Hudson back into the fold.

Also, is anyone going to start signing these imperfect corner OFs? If the Castellanos price drops enough I'd love to see the Sox pick him up as well.

It feels like everyone wants to keep money around until Donaldson decides.
Also - if you are willing to roll the dice on a shaky locker room (hello Astros!) if you wait until Casty and Ozuna sign you could probably get Puig for next to nothing.

Not a fan of Puig, but on a one year cheap deal I'd be fine with rolling the dice on him.

Alrighty the relief options are dwindling. I'm not a numbers guy but haven't teams historically been able to buy pitching down the stretch?

Also just to make sure there's a Cubs post on the 1st page, I hope they aren't ass this year cause I'm planning on going in on my season ticket package again. I might even be the distributor for it since my guy might be moving to NYC. Won't that be fun!

I guess Cischek (sp?) is the top guy left? Unless the Sox want to trade for relief pitching, I guess.

I feel like if it's January and you're priced out of the reliever free agent market that means that you need to either sign Fernando Rodney or plan on trading for Fernando Rodney at the deadline.
