I've watched most of the 3 KBO games so far.
The good 1. The bat flips 2. The quality of play is pretty good. 3. A lot of the guys wear reading glasses when they play - not athletic goggles but actual glasses 4. The KBO cheerleaders 5. Play moves quickly
The bad 1. The stadiums are kind of boring so far 2. Not enough of the guys have weird stances or throwing motion 3. Terrible announcing with delays 4. Way too much Karl Ravech 5. No fans

4. Way too much Karl Ravech i think sciambi has the next three games. That's an upgrade. ESPN must have so many people under contract with nothing to do - I wish they would mix it up a bit more. Perez is good and most of the guests are good.

MLB draft next month is 5 rounds. Which is just one more gut punch for all of those HS seniors who didn't even get to play this spring.

Good for junior colleges, I guess.

Good for junior colleges, I guess. Yeah I don't think this is a disaster for high school kids since they can just go the juco route and enter the draft next year. It's a catastrophe for non-elite college juniors though since they have zero leverage

Its bad all around - because even if kids go JUCO, the teams are all going to be overflowing with qualified players. So theres going to be a trickle down effect. You can pick any class and point out how they got hosed, I just somehow gravitate to the kid who missed his senior year of HS ball and missed out his only chance to ever get drafted.
The best kids will get found regardless, I guess I feel worst (as far as baseball goes) for the kids who miss their one shot. Money comes and goes, but so many kids prolly played their last game and that sucks.

Sounds like universal DH is going to be a thing as well. I really hope this whacky season happens.

They're also trying to squeeze players for more money and probably ensuring a labor stoppage in 2021. Yay.

This twitter thread from Sean Doolittle is a must-read for understanding some health concerns facing players and staff in re-opening negotiations.

I think the players are right to try and get every dollar they can and I think its within everyone's best interest to get as widespread testing as possible. I'm not sure what his stance is on some of the other speculative health concerns though. I would think that at a minimum there has to be some sort of agreement on how MLPA and MLB treats guys who dont feel comfortable playing.

The idea of replacement players is already being floated by anonymous owners, so I'm going to go ahead and say they're screwing that aspect up.
Really important to point out that league revenue was through the roof last season and most of these owners bought these teams at a much, much lower price than what they are worth now, so even for greedy rich people this is kind of remarkable that they think public sentiment will be on their side.

I want my sporps back.
But I don’t want any of my favorite players (and even those of my not favorite players) to play if the solid majority of them don’t wanna.
Bundaslega starts Saturday I’ll see y’all there
